WISCONSIN COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC. (WCS) SERVES INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE INVOLVED IN, OR AT RISK OF BECOMING INVOLVED IN, THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, AS WELL AS OTHER VULNERABLE AND DISENFRANCHISED COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
ADVOCATE FOR JUSTICE AND COMMUNITY SAFETY, PROVIDING INNOVATIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS TO OVERCOME ADVERSITY.
PHARMACY: THE PHARMACY IS A STAND-ALONE, CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM OFFERING FULL PHARMACY SERVICES TO A STATIC CAPACITY OF 400 PARTICIPANTS WITH SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESS. THE PROGRAM IS STAFFED BY 2 FTE REGISTERED PHARMACISTS AND 2 FTE PHARMACY TECHNICIANS TO MEET ALL MEDICATION NEEDS OF THE PARTICIPANTS. ALL MEDICATION PRESCRIPTIONS ARE FILLED AND DISPENSED FROM THE PHARMACY.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM (CSP): THE CSP PROVIDES UP TO SEVEN DAYS PER WEEK OF IN HOME SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIZATIONS AND HAVE BEEN REFERRED BY THE MILWAUKEE COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH DIVISION. THE GOAL IS TO DECREASE THE LENGTH OF STAY AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF TIMES A PERSON IS HOSPITALIZED BY PROVIDING INTENSIVE TREATMENT SERVICES TO THOSE WITH EXTENSIVE HISTORIES OF SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESS. OUR CSP SERVES APPROXIMATELY 260 INDIVIDUALS ON AN ONGOING BASIS.
PARSONS HOUSE: PARSONS HOUSE IS A COMMUNITY-BASED RESIDENTIAL RE-ENTRY FACILITY FOR RETURNING CITIZENS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF PRISONS AND FEDERAL PROBATION. ALL RESIDENTS MUST BE CURRENTLY ON PROBATION OR PAROLE OR FEDERAL PRE-RELEASE STATUS. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES A STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENT, WHERE RESIDENTS CAN DEVELOP THE NECESSARY SKILLS TO LIVE AN INDEPENDENT CRIME AND DRUG FREE LIFESTYLE. SPECIFICALLY, THE PROGRAM PROVIDES ROOM AND BOARD, INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING, TRANSPORTATION AND EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE, TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS SUPERVISION, AND REFERRALS TO OTHER AGENCIES FOR SERVICES NOT DIRECTLY PROVIDED AT PARSONS HOUSE. THE PROGRAM HAS CAPACITY FOR 40 RESIDENTS.
