Organizations Filed Purposes:
WISDOM works with congregation-based community organizations to create understanding and build relationships across boundaries, to train leaders, and to organize people to advocate for social change that is in accord with their values.
WISDOM added 2 new affiliate organizations, including spinning off the EXPO project into a fully functional independent organization, now as a WISDOM affiliate. Intentional Voter Engagement Campaign projects were initiated in each affiliate for the purpose of Get Out the Vote outreach that will bring new people into our issue work. WISDOM initiated new state-wide campaigns for environmental justice, Close the Green Bay Correctional Institute and the FREE Campaign specifically for women impacted by criminal justice issues. Each campaign includes presentations to religious and community groups, prayer vigils, and outreach to elected officials. Implicit Bias workshops were conducted in each affiliate.
