Brothers and sisters in Christ serving BASICS works to engage suburban and urban resources, build relationships between churches and ministers
CARE Thousands of household and clothing items were shared from the suburb to city on a weekly basis. Bibles, blankets and coats were provided to hundreds of men, women and children in need. Meals, caring fellowship and prayer were provided to several thousand residents through community outreaches, treacher appreciation events, and leadership gatherings. Hundreds of officers experienced Pastoral care through three ordained police chaplains.
SHARE Ministers to Milwaukee shared the Good News of Life in Jesus Christ with thousands in local prisons and community outreaches including the Sherman Park Community. God used BASICS to partner 5 local ministries to host a neighborhood event with 100 volunteers serving over 700 people in the under-resourced 53206 neighborhood.
PREPAREBASICS hosts multiple weekly Bible studies in homes, schools, prisons and other locations including groups dealing with a blbically-based perspective on trauma recovery. BASICS Ministers to Milwaukee provide weekly counsel , encouragement and biblical training for Milwaukee Ministry Leaders. BASICS Ministers to Milwaukee facilitaded two 5 day SYISSharpening Your Interpersonal Skills workshops, training Christian workers in biblically-based relationship skills. The Lord led BASICS to launch biblically-based dialogs on racial reconciliation through Front Row Seat a dialog for Understanding Racism Together. Three events were held helping to change the narrative on race in America for over 200 people. BASICS hosted 225 Pastors and Ministry leaders at out 16th Annual Appreciation Breakfast, encouraging them around the topic of Respect, Honoring one another for the glory of God.
