THE BADGER REGION VOLLEYBALL ASSOCIATION PROMOTES INITIATIVES FOR SAFE, STRUCTURED AND FUN LIFE-LONG VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCES.
EDUCATION, PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPORT OF VOLLEYBALL IN WISCONSIN.
ATHLETE TRAINING AND SERVICES (HIGH PERFORMANCE AND YOUTH INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS):THE PURPOSE OF THE HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM IS TO IDENTIFY AND TRAIN ATHLETES THAT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PLAY AT AN ELITE LEVEL AND POSSIBLY MOVE INTO THE NATIONAL ATHLETE PIPELINE. PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED FOR BOTH MALE AND FEMALE ATHLETES, AGES 12-17. THE HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM IS ALSO AN OPPORTUNITY TO IDENTIFY AND TRAIN OUR REGIONAL COACHES TO MOVE INTO NATIONAL COACHING POSITIONS. THE PURPOSE OF THE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS TO INTRODUCE THE SPORT TO YOUNGSTERS, AGES 3-11. THE SESSIONS ARE DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE AND TRAIN ATHLETIC SKILLS WITH A FOCUS ON VOLLEYBALL.
REGIONAL INDOOR AND OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP AND NATIONAL QUALIFIER EVENTS: THE PURPOSE OF THE REGIONAL INDOOR AND OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP AND NATIONAL QUALIFIER EVENTS IS TO PROVIDE A VENUE FOR ALL MEMBERS TO COMPETE IN A LARGE VENUE EVENT. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING A QUALITY COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCE, WE ALSO USE THESE EVENTS TO INCREASE THE VISIBILITY AND AWARENESS OF OUR SPORT IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN. BY OFFERING EVENTS FOR AGES 11 THROUGH SENIOR ADULTS, WE SHOWCASE THE SPORT AS A LIFELONG ACTIVITY AND PART OF A HEALTHY, ACTIVE LIFESTYLE.
COACHES EDUCATION CLINICS:INCREASED MASTERY AND PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION OF COACHING THEORY (IMPACT) VOLLEYBALL CERTIFICATION CLINICS.THE PURPOSE OF THE IMPACT CLINICS IS TO ASSURE THAT EVERY COACH HAS A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR LEGAL AND MORAL RESPONSIBILITIES TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR THEIR ATHLETES TO TRAIN IN AND COMPETE, IN ADDITION TO DEVELOPING A COACHING PHILOSOPHY SPECIFIC TO EACH INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE'S NEEDS. THE CLINICS ALSO HELP COACHES CREATE WHAT THEY NEED TO COACH VOLLEYBALL EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY BY HAVING INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON THE REGIONAL AND NATIONAL PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO THEM AND THEIR ATHLETES.COACHING ACCREDITATION PROGRAM (CAP) LEVEL I AND LEVEL II:THE PURPOSE OF THE CAP CLINICS IS TO PROVIDE AN ADVANCED LEVEL OF TRAINING ON DEVELOPING SYSTEMS OF PLAY, ADVANCED SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES, MOTOR SKILL LEARNING THEORY, DRILL DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION, TEAM COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS, AND TEAM BUILDING.
