Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO REACH OUT TO THOSE AFFECTED BY SEXUAL ASSAULT AND DOMESTIC ABUSE; PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THOSE IN CRISIS; AND TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY, BY PROVIDING THE TOOLS NEEDED TO EMPOWER THEM TO LIVE LIVES FREE OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT.

CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES: IN ADDITION TO THE 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE, AND 14 BED TEMPORARY EMERGENCY SHELTER WITH AN AVERAGE STAY OF 41 DAYS, WE OFFER CRISIS SERVICES THROUGH OUR HELPLINE, WALK-IN AND THROUGH IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR PARTNERS. WE PROVIDE THERAPY LEGAL ADVOCACY, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT GROUPS AND VICTIM ACCOMPANIMENT WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT, COURTS, HOSPITAL AND CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER. ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE TO ANYONE EFFECTED BY VIOLENCE. IN 2019, WE PROVIDED 122 INDIVIDUALS SHELTER FOR A TOTAL OF 5,145 NIGHTS IN SHELTER. OUR STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS RESPONDED TO MORE THAN 5,500 HELPLINE CALLS SUPPORTING PEOPLE OVER THE PHONE AND THROUGH WALK-IN'S. OUR ADVOCATES ALSO RESPONDED TO 322 VICTIM ACCOMPANIMENTS WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT, MEDICAL PROVIDERS AND THE COURT SYSTEM.

PREVENTION EDUCATION SERVICES: THESE SERVICES PROVIDE COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION AND EDUCATION TO FOSTER VALUES, SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS FOCUSING ON RESPECT, EQUALITY AND CONSENT THAT WILL ASSIST HELPING PREVENT THEM FROM BECOMING A VICTIM OR PERPETRATOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, HARASSMENT, OR BULLYING. IN 2019, OUR STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS WORKED HARD TO EDUCATE AND SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY ON UNDERSTANDING ISSUES AND CONCERNS RELATED TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT. WE PROVIDED 222 PRESENTATIONS AND EDUCATION TO 6,865 INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING 4,570 YOUTH AND 2,295 ADULTS THROUGHOUT SHEBOYGAN COUNTY. OUT LARGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT IN THIS AREA HAS BEEN RELATED TO ONGOING PROGRAMMING IN THE SCHOOLS THROUGH A 10 WEEK PROGRAM CALLED SAFE DATES THAT ASSISTS YOUTH IN UNDERSTANDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.

OUTREACH / NON RESIDENT SERVICES: WE OFFER SERVICES THAT ARE NOT CRISIS ORIENTED FOR VICTIMS WHO ARE READY AND WORKING ON STABILIZING THEIR LIVES FROM VIOLENCE. SERVICES THAT WE PROVIDE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THERAPY, LEGAL ADVOCACY, COURT SUPPORT AND TRIAL ACCOMPANIMENT, CASE MANAGEMENT, SAFETY PLANNING, LIFE SKILLS, HOUSING SUPPORT, SUPPORT GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING/ADVOCACY, LANGUAGE SUPPORT AND BARRIER REMOVAL. LAST YEAR, WE PROVIDED MORE THAN 10,000 SERVICES TO ADULTS AND CHILDREN THROUGH ADVOCACY, SAFETY PLANNING AND CASE MANAGEMENT. WE PROVIDED 3,900 ADVOCACY SERVICES TO 568 INDIVIDUALS AND 877 THERAPY SESSIONS, PROVIDED LEGAL ADVOCACY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE SUPPORT TO MORE THAN 400 INDIVIDUALS FOR 760 SERVICES AND PROVIDED 940 SUPPORT GROUP SESSIONS TO 214 INDIVIDUALS.
