To provide quality child care and deliver curriculum that nurtures the total development of each individual child during their formative years._____ Catholic Charities Bureau Affiliates are organized to maintain, operate and conduct; directly or indirectly; as well as to assist and coordinate activities and Social Services in accordance with the charitable Works and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. Works are carried out in accordance with Catholic Social teachings.
It is the mission of Hudson Community Children's Center to provide quality child care in a nurturing and enriching environment.
October of 2019 marks the 50th year of Hudson Community Children's Center. It has had several names and three locations, but all locations were within a half a block of each other on Fourth Street in Hudson. Throughout the last 50 years HCCC has provided not only excellent childcare but also a commitment to the Catholic Charities values of service to our community. We are certainly a part of this neighborhood. We have had three generations of one family attend our center. Our 4K program has been very involved in community outreach programs. HCCC and another site hosted an evening of play where parents were given a check list to watch their child in active play and document the skills that are being fostered through exploration and play. Staff have been very engaged in working with the school district to help create a new curriculum that focuses on the social and emotional aspects of young children and how important developmentally these two components are to academic readiness. Management dedicated resources to participate in a Wisconsin Registry class in August to become a Shaken Baby Trainer. With this certificate, we will be able to train new staff and also community members relating to the strategies for maintaining safe conduct with infants and toddlers.
