The Southeast Wisconsin Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition, Inc. is a multidisciplinaryy / multi entity coalition dedicated to strenthening the regions response to disaster. This is accomplished by utilizing an effecient, coordinated approach to providing healthcare in a critical incident that extends beyond normal operations.
To help protect and enhance the health and safety of the people of southeast Wisconsin and beyond in a mass casualty event.
Wisconsin Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program - This program includes heathcare system preparedness, medical surge, information sharing, fatality managment and exercise design training. Health Care System Preparedness includes the administrative responsibilities to support and strengthen the coordination of resources that enhance the community and healthcare systems ability to plan, prepare, respond to and recover from short or long duration incidents that have public health and medical impacts. Medical Surge is the planning and coordination with other reponse agencies to provide adequate pre-hospital and hospital medical evaluation during an all hazards incident that excceds the limits of the normal medical infrastructure within the community.
