Organizations Filed Purposes: We are dedicated to the ideals that encourage, improve and promote the standards of youth hockey in Southeastern WI. SHAW provides a healthy and safe environment to assist in the development of competitive hockey teams, educate youth in the sport of hockey and encourage fair play in a USA Hockey sanctioned organization open to the youth of this area.

The purpose is to encourage, improve and promote the standards of youth hockey in Milwaukee County. Approximately 300 children are involved in learning to play hockey. SHAW supports programs at all appropriate age levels

Southeastern Hockey Association has approximately 300 young skaters, ages 3-19. Our Devo program 3-5 years stress drills and basic skating. The Mini-Mite Program 5-7 years begins the process of learning about the game of hockey, other teams are brought in to play, no score is kept, and they particpate in tournaments. The mite program under 8 is focused on skating skills and expanding the knowledge of the game of hockey. Penalties and Goalies are introduced at this level. Squirt Program under 10 start skating on the full sheet of ice. Basic skills are still stressed, the game of hockey becomes the focus and tournaments played. This is the first level of competitive play. The PeeWee Program under 12 expands on the previous programs and stress the fundaments of the game of hockey. Bantam Program under 14 continues to expand on what has been previously taught. This is the first level where players are allowed to check. Our high school program under 19 competes in a sanctioned conference. This program is for players who want to keep playing competive hockey after Bantam.

These are expenses associated with attending hockey related events including tournaments and professional hockey games to further the knowledge of the game for the players and to develop the skills necessary to play competive hockey. Also included are award banquets and house tournaments sponsored to further encourage young hockey players.
