PROGRAMS ARE MEASURED ACCORDING TO HOW THEY DEMONSTRATE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN THEIR KNOWLEDGE SCORE AND ATTITUDE SHIFTS BETWEEN THE PRE AND POST TESTS; MEANING THEIR ATTITUDES IMPROVED AND THE KNOWLEDGE INCREASED; AND IF THEY WERE STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT BETWEEN THE TWO TESTING TIMES BASED ON T-TEST ANALYSES.
IN-SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAMS: THE STAFF OF OUR CROSSROADS/PROJECT SUCCESS PROGRAM MENTORED 1,053 STUDENTS IN 31 SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE LEHIGH VALLEY. SOME OF THE 2019-2020 RESULTS THAT SHOWED MAINTAINED/IMPROVED ARE: 79.35% SOUGHT HELP FROM ADULTS; 74.31% HANDLED STRESS FROM SCHOOL/HOME; 79.09% SPOKE CALMLY DURING A DISAGREEMENT; 81.86% UNDERSTOOD ANOTHER'S POINT OF VIEW; 85.64% RESISTED/SAID "NO" TO PEER PRESSURE; 79.60% COMMUNICATED WITH PEERS. ALL THESE RESULTS SHOWED IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PREVIOUS YEAR RESULTS. DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, DATA ON GRADES, ATTENDANCE, AND DISCIPLINARY INCIDENTS WAS LIMITED DUE TO THE IMPACT OF SCHOOL CLOSURES.
CHC SERVED 93 OF THE 96 SCHOOLS IN LEHIGH COUNTY AND 55 OF THE 55 SCHOOLS IN NORTHAMPTON COUNTY WITH LIAISON SERVICES, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, MATERIAL DISSEMINATION, NEWSLETTERS, OTHER COMMUNICATIONS, TEAM MAINTENANCE, AND EVALUATION SERVICES THROUGH THE STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SAP). OUR COMMONWEALTH APPROVED TRAINING PROGRAM CERTIFIED 112 NEW SAP PROFESSIONALS.
