PA Stop is designed to educate Pennsylvanians about the risks of prescription painkiller and heroin use, the relationship between painkiller and heroin use, and what to do when you need help. We are working to prevent non-medical use of prescription painkillers and, in so doing, to break the connection between heroin and prescription painkillers. PA Start is designed to build healthy, capable children. It provides families and educators with thought-provoking materials on how to teach kids to grow in a safe environment and learn how to make good choices. It focuses on preventing children and teenagers from misusing opioids and getting them to avoid drugs. It provides reliable resource links for parents and educators to get additional knowledge on particular topics such as developmental stages, prevention of risk-taking behaviors, and positive discipline techniques.
