THE ARC OF CENTRE COUNTY OFFERS AN ARRAY OF DYNAMIC COMMUNITY LIVING ARRANGEMENT SERVICE OPTIONS TO SUPPORT PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN THE COMMUNITY. RESIDENTIAL SERVICES PROVIDE TWENTY-FOUR HOUR SUPPORT IN A LICENSED COMMUNITY HOME PROVIDING DIRECT SERVICES IN THE AREAS OF HEALTH MAINTENANCE, ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING, BEHAVIORIAL SUPPORT, SOCIALIZATION, COMMUNITY INTEGRATION, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, AND RECREATION.
NITTANY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES (NES) PROVIDES VOCATIONAL SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL AND OTHER VARYING ABILITIES. THE PRIMARY GOAL IS TO SECURE COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL. NES PROVIDES A RANGE OF SERVICES THAT INCLUDE EVALUATION, VOCATIONAL PLANNING AND COUNSELING, PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING, JOB DEVELOPMENT, JOB COACHING, AND FOLLOW-ALONG SERVICES.
THROUGH HOME AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, THE ARC PROVIDES SERVICES MEANT TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THOSE WE SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY. IN-HOME AND COMMUNITY SUPPORTS SERVICES HELP THOSE WE SERVE TO ACQUIRE, MAINTAIN, AND/OR IMPROVE UPON THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO LIVE IN THE COMMUNITY, TO LIVE MORE INDEPENDENTLY, OR TO BE MORE PRODUCTIVE AND PARTICIPATORY IN COMMUNITY LIFE. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION SUPPORTS PROVIDES SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY TO INCREASE INCLUSION AND INTEREST EXPLORATION WHILE BUILDING ON THE POTENTIAL FOR COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT. RESPITE OR COMPANION SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED TO ENSURE THE BASIC HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THOSE WE SUPPORT.
