The Erie County Historical Society engages and inspires a diverse audience by exhibiting links to the past, understanding the present and guidance for the future, while preserving the history of Erie County, Northwestern Pennsylvania and our national heritage. The HHC engages the community through dynamic educational programs, inspiring exhibits, community building programs and relevant publications. We preserve collections representing over 200 years of our history. Our archives and collectionis serve as a comprehensive and accessible resource for researchers, educators, students, and the public.

Preservation and interpretation of collections and artifacts. Operation of the Hagen History Center campus including two historic house museums, along with the Battles Museum of Rural Life. The Organization has recently invested in the renovation of a historic house, which will be utilized as an education center and a new 6,000 sq. ft exhibit building.
