URBAN REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT
IMPROVEMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF VARIOUS PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE WITHIN THE BROADER SCOPE OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT. DURING THE PAST 10 YEARS, THE CORPORATION HAS REHABILITATED SUCH REAL ESTATE TO PRODUCE AFFORDABLE STUDENT HOUSING COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS INTERNATIONAL HOUSE HARRISBURG. DURING 2019, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED HOUSING FOR BOTH INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC STUDENTS.
I-2 WORKS DIRECTLY WITH FOREIGN PARTNERS AND REGIONAL EMPLOYERS MATCHING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WITH PLACEMENTS IN LOCAL JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS UNDER THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT SUMMER/WORK AND TRAVEL J-1 VISA PROGRAM AND OTHER RELATED J AND F TYPE VISA PROGRAMS. I-2 STAFF RECRUIT INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FOR THEIR CLIENTS, SECURE THEIR HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION AND ASSIST THEM WITH CULTURAL ORIENTATION AND OTHER NEEDS WHILE IN THE U.S. SINCE 2011, I-2 HAS SERVED OVER 1,000 STUDENTS.
LIFE SKILLS EVENTS ARE CONDUCTED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TO PROVIDE THEM WITH EVERYDAY LIVING SKILLS THAT WILL FACILITATE A HIGHER DEGREE OF FUNCTIONALITY WHILE RESIDING IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY.
