Organizations Filed Purposes:
UNITED WAY OF MERCER COUNTY, PA INVESTS IN MORE THAN 38 PROGRAMS FROM 26 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH ITS ANNUAL CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. THE UNITED WAY OF MERCER COUNTY COMBINES THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS AND INVESTS THOSE CONTRIBUTIONS WHERE THEY WILL HAVE THE GREATEST IMPACT IN SOLVING COMMUNITY ISSUES. OUR VOLUNTEERS REVIEW EACH AGENCY PROGRAM SUBMISSION AND PRIORITIZE AGENCY ALLOCATION AMOUNTS BASED ON THE BEST AVAILABLE DATA. THESE ALLOCATIONS ARE AWARDED TO PROGRAMS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT CAN DEMONSTRATE MEASURABLE RESULTS IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, INCOME, AND HEALTH. THE UNITED WAY HELPS PEOPLE VOLUNTEER, LEND THEIR PROFESSESSIONAL EXPERTISE, DONATED HOUSEHOLD AND OFFICE ITEMS AND ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF HUMAN SERVICE ISSUES. WE OPERATE AND MOBILIZE PEOPLE IN MERCER COUNTY PA AND A PORTION OF TRUMBULL COUNTY IN OHIO. WE WORK TO COLLECTIVELY ADDRESS AND IMPLEMENT STRATEGIES TO ENSURE THAT ALL PEOPLE IN OUR REGION CAN THRIVE.
UNITED WAY OF MERCER COUNTY, PA BRINGS TOGETHER ALL SEGMENTS OF OUR COMMUNITY TO DRIVE SUSTAINABLE IMPROVEMENT IN EDUCATION, INCOME, HEALTH, INITIATIVES WHILE CONTINUING TO ADDRESS URGENT AND BASIC HUMAN CARE.
UNITED WAY OF MERCER COUNTY PROVIDES FUNDRAISING AND PLANNING SERVICES FOR ITS AFFILIATED AGENCIES TO GUARANTEE THAT VITAL HUMAN SERVICE PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE TO COMMUNITY RESIDENTS.
THE UNITED WAY OF MERCER COUNTY'S SUCCESS BY 6 (SB6)IS A ROBUST COALITION OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARTNERS WORKING TOGETHER TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN IN THE AREA ARE HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND READY TO LEARN BY THE TIME THEY ENTER KINDERGARTEN. THE COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN AREA PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS, HEADSTART, FINANCIAL AND HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS ASSURES THAT EVERY CHILD IN THE MERCER COUNTY AND BROOKFIELD/MASURY OHIO AREA ARE PREPARED FOR SCHOOL SUCCESS.
UNITED WAY OF MERCER COUNTY CONDUCTS ONGOING COMMUNITY OUTREACH SEMINARS AND TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR AREA RESIDENTS. UNITED WAY PRESENTATIONS ARE DESIGNED TO INCREASE AWARENESS, ADVOCACY, AND HELP FIND SOLUTIONS TO RECURRING SOCIAL HUMAN SERVICES ISSUES.
