PGSS Campaign, Inc. contributed $100,000 to the operation of the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Sciences (PGSS) a 5 week summer STEM education program for gifted Pennsylvania high school juniors. Due to the pandemic this year's program was held remotely. Students took classes in physics, biology, chemistry, math, and computer science. They also took elective courses including one on Covid 19 and conducted team research projects. 62 students participated. 52% were female. 52% were Asian or Indian, 45% were white. 25% came from rural communities, 65% came from suburban areas and 10% came from urban areas. 13% identified as low income or lower middle class
PGSS Campaign, Inc. held alumni reunions in Los Angeles, Houston, NYC, Boston, and San Francisco as well as 4 Class Reunions
PGSS Campaign ran a alumni mentoring program, matching students from the most recent program with adult alumni mentors to advise them on the college application process, major and career advice. 31 students participated with 31 alumni mentors.
