TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION, NPT OFFERS A VARIETY OF GIVING VEHICLES, INCLUDING DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS, DESIGNATED FUNDS, FISCAL SPONSORSHIP, SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS AND SPECIALIZED FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS. IT ALSO OFFERS PHILANTHROPIC GUIDANCE AND SERVICES THAT HELP BOTH INDIVIDUAL DONORS AND FINANCIAL ADVISORS MAXIMIZE THEIR CHARITABLE IMPACT. BY REMOVING ADMINISTRATIVE BURDENS AND INCREASING OVERALL AWARENESS OF CHARITABLE GIVING NEEDS AND STRATEGIES, NPT HELPS ENABLE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO BETTER PURSUE THEIR PHILANTHROPIC INTERESTS. NPT ALSO PROVIDES INFORMATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC REGARDING PHILANTHROPIC ISSUES AND TRENDS.
NATIONAL PHILANTHROPIC TRUST AWARDED APPROXIMATELY 52,400 GRANTS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $1.35 BILLION TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS IN TAX YEAR 2018. IT SERVED MORE THAN 8,400 INDIVIDUAL DONORS IN 2018. (SEE SCHED. O).IN TOTAL, NPT HAS MADE $7.7 BILLION IN GRANTS TO QUALIFIED CHARITIES IN MORE THAN 70 COUNTRIES SINCE ITS FOUNDING. IN 2019, NPT ENHANCED ITS SERVICES SUBSTANTIALLY. IT INTRODUCED FOUR NEW IMPACT PORTFOLIOS, GIVING DONORS THE ABILITY TO ALIGN THEIR INVESTMENTS WITH THEIR GRANTMAKING GOALS. IT IMPROVED ITS GRANT PROCESS, ENABLING GRANTS TO REACH RECIPIENT CHARITIES MORE QUICKLY. IT ADDED ENHANCED PHILANTHROPIC SERVICES TO BETTER MEET THE NEEDS OF DONORS AND ADVISORS, AND IT IMPROVED THE ONLINE EXPERIENCE FOR DONORS AND ADVISORS.
