DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2020, THE PROGRAM SERVED 54 CHILDREN AGES 0-6. CHILDREN IN THE CHILDCARE PROGRAM RECEIVE A BALANCED BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND TWO SNACKS, ALL WITH THE CHILDREN'S NUTRITION IN MIND. THE CHILDCARE PROGRAM ALSO UTILIZES DIAPERS, WIPES, FORMULA, AND OTHER CHILD- REARING SUPPLIES WITHOUT CHARGING THEIR SINGLE PARENTS. SERVICES ARE PROVIDED THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED TO THE SINGLE PARENTS WHO ARE LEARNING GOAL SETTING SKILLS AND RECEIVING AN EDUCATION. CHILDREN LEARN HOW TO SOCIALIZE WITH OTHERS, SOLVE PROBLEMS, UNDERSTAND, AND THEN EXPRESS SPEECH AND LANGUAGE, DEVELOP CONCEPTS OF MATH AND SPECIAL RELATIONSHIPS, AND DEVELOP THEIR GROSS AND FINE MOTOR SKILLS, WITH ALL INSTRUCTION FOCUSED ON ACHIEVING MAJOR MILESTONES. CHILDREN ATTENDING MOM'S HOUSE ENTER PRIMARY SCHOOL AT A KINDERGARTEN-READY LEARNING LEVEL. THE PARENT PROGRAM OFFERS PARENTING AND LIFE SKILL WORKSHOPS, TUTORING, A FOOD BANK, A CLOTHING CLOSET, SCHOLARSHIPS, REFERRAL SERVICES AND OTHER ITEMS OF NEED TO SINGLE PARENTS ENROLLED AT MOM'S HOUSE. PARENTS MAY BE ENROLLED IN LANCASTER COUNTY HIGH SCHOOLS, GED PROGRAMS, LOCAL UNIVERSITIES, COMMUNITY COLLEGES, OR VOCATIONAL, TECHNOLOGY, NURSING, BUSINESS, OR COSMETOLOGY SCHOOLS, AMONG OTHERS. PARENTS IN THE PROGRAM ARE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN A CERTAIN GRADE LEVEL, A REGULAR SCHEDULE USUALLY ALIGNING WITH THEIR EDUCATION SCHEDULE AND PARTICIPATE IN WEEKLY LIFE SKILL CLASSES. PARENTS IN THE PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDE TWO HOURS OF VOLUNTEERISM TO MOM'S HOUSE EACH WEEK. DURING THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE-WIDE COVID-19 PANDEMIC LOCK DOWN, MOM'S HOUSE WAS ONE OF THE FIRST CHILDCARE CENTERS TO TRANSFORM PROGRAMMING FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN QUICKLY TO OFFER VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS TO STAY CONNECT TO OTHERS AND RESOURCES DURING THAT TIME. PARENTS RECEIVED WEEKLY FOOD DELIVERIES FROM THE STAFF AS WELL AS CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH THEIR CHILDREN BUILT BY THE TEACHING STAFF.
