TO STRENGTHEN AND ENHANCE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND CHILDREN BY PROMOTING MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS, REDUCING SUBSTANCE ABUSE, INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS, PREPARING CHILDREN AND TEENS FOR THE FUTURE, PROTECTING THE ELDERLY, AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE WITH HIV/AIDS.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAM SERVICES (BHS) PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE, INTEGRATED, RECOVERY SERVICES INCLUDING INDIVIDUALIZED OUTPATIENT THERAPY PROVIDED AT THREE LICENSED SITES ALONG WITH THERAPY IN 20 SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY. BHS OFFERS INDIVIDUAL, GROUP AND FAMILY THERAPY ADDRESSING LIFE ISSUES, TRAUMA, MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE SYMPTOMS. BHS ALSO HAS AN ESTABLISHED INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM DEVELOPED TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SUBSTANCE USE VIA TRAUMA INFORMED GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS. EVIDENCE BASED OFFERINGS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS INCLUDE DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY, AND SUPPORT GROUPS SUCH AS TREM AND M-TREM, MORAL RECONATION THERAPY, AND ANGER MANAGEMENT. BHS PROVIDES BOTH ON-SITE PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES AS WELL AS TELE-PSYCHIATRY FOR CHILDREN, ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS TO SUPPORT MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING MAT WITH VIVITROL AND SUBOXONE. THE BHS OFFERS NURSE NAVIGATION TO SUPPORT PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS. THE BHS OFFERS A CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH MENTAL HEALTH AND CO-OCCURRING DIAGNOSES, A CENTER OF EXCELLENCE CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ADDRESSING OPIOID USE DISORDER THROUGH CASE MANAGERS AND CERTIFIED RECOVERY SPECIALISTS AND A MENTAL HEALTH-CO-OCCURRING PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM. BHS SUPPORTS COMMUNITY RE-ENTRY AND ALSO PROVIDES A DUI AND HIGHWAY SAFETY PROGRAM. 3,026 UNDUPLICATED CLIENTS SERVED. HIV PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, INCLUDING 340 B PROGRAM, PREVENTION EDUCATION, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS, TRANSPORTATION, MEDICAL ADHERENCE, SUPPORT GROUPS AND CONNECTIONS TO MEDICAL CARE AND OTHER RESOURCES TO MEET BASIC NEEDS TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE HIV+ TO LIVE LONGER, HEALTHIER LIVES. 217 UNDUPLICATED CLIENTS SERVED. THE BUCKS COUNTY EMERGENCY HOMELESS SHELTER PROVIDES SAFE HOUSING FOR MORE THAN 75 VULNERABLE MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT THROUGH A COMBINATION OF COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING, FINANCIAL EDUCATION, PARENT EDUCATION, BUDGETING EDUCATION, RENTER EDUCATION, HEALTH SCREENINGS/EDUCATION, AND TRANSPORTATION. CONNECTIONS TO PUBLIC BENEFITS, RESOURCES I.E. MENTAL HEALTH, DRUG AND ALCOHOL, MEDICAL RESOURCES, FOOD PANTRIES IS ALSO PROVIDED. STAFF WORK WITH PARTNER AGENCIES AND VOLUNTEERS TO RESTORE THE HOPE OF THOSE WHO TURN TO THE SHELTER IN A CRISIS AND TO HELP THEM FIND A PERMANENT PLACE TO CALL HOME. 479 UNDUPLICATED CLIENTS SERVED.
