Organizations Filed Purposes:
To support the creation of a positive youth culture in the U.S. that honors self-reliance, respectful relations between the sexes, marriage and parenthood, and service to others.Through educational activities and media outreach, the Institute for Relationship Intelligence seeks to help young people to value their lives, their health and their future goals including productive work, marriage, parenthood and family;to develop leadership skills that would allow them to avoid addictive or destructive behaviors that would damage their ability to achieve their future goals; andto develop the positive relationship skills that will enhance their future careers, marriages, and communities.Through educational activities and media outreach, the Institute for Relationship Intelligence seeks to empower parents and educators with the knowledge, awareness and tools to take a proactive role in the lives of the young people they care about.
Science-based education and cultural activities to promote healthier families
1) CLASSROOM ED: 1,103 Middle School and High School students were given Relationship Intelligence Training education which ground to a halt in mid-March due to the Covid 19 Lockdowns in New Jersey and California. According to Evans Evaluation 90% of the students completed 75% or more of the RIT education. 2) AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS: After-school club activities were affected by the Covid 19 Lockdowns in New Jersey which prevented the holding of the Teen Media Summit. Most clubs did continue to meet online via zoom or through phone calls. 3) 74 youth at 5 club sites attended 119 in-person or online meetings in New Jersey. 4) Weekly social media emails sent out by emails to 1,027 recipients and via text messages to 134 recipients. Articles and videos were posted at FreeTeensYouth.org and LoveSmarts.org.
