CHILD CARE INFORMATION SERVICES (CCIS) ASSISTS MORE THAN 17,000 LOW INCOME AND FORMER TANF FAMILIES IN WEST/SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH/CENTER CITY PHILADELPHIA BY SUBSIDIZING CHILD CARE FOR MORE THAN 25,000 CHILDREN. IN ADDITION, THE CCIS PROGRAM HELPS ALL FAMILIES IN THESE SERVICE AREAS TO FIND CHILD CARE BY PROVIDING CHILD CARE RESOURCES AND REFERRAL SERVICES. (25000 CHILDREN)
COMMUNITY AND PLACEMENT SERVICES: THE CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP) IS A FEDERAL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES REIMBURSEMENTS FOR NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS TO ELIGIBLE CHILDREN AND ADULTS WHO ARE ENROLLED FOR CARE AT PARTICIPATING CHILD CARE CENTERS, DAY CARE HOMES, AND ADULT DAY CARE CENTERS. THROUGH CACFP, CARING PEOPLE ALLIANCE SPONSORS OVER 100 DAY CARE HOMES AND CHILD CARE CENTERS IN THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. (750 CHILDREN)
CHILD CARE PROGRAMS: CARING PEOPLE ALLIANCE PROVIDES THE HIGHEST QUALITY LICENSED CHILD CARE TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. WE PARTICIPATE IN PENNSYLVANIA'S KEYSTONE STARS PROGRAM AND HAVE ACHIEVED THE HIGHEST STAR 4 RATING AT BOTH OF OUR CHILD CARE CENTERS. WE PROVIDE CHILD CARE FOR CHILDREN 1 YEAR TO 5 YEARS, INCLUDING FEDERAL HEAD START, PENNSYLVANIA PRE-K COUNTS, AND PHILADELPHIA PRE-K. WE PROVIDE BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND A SNACK AND ARE OPEN FROM 8:00 AM TO 6:00 PM TO ACCOMMODATE WORKING FAMILIES. ALL PROGRAMS INCLUDE A VARIETY OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES, GROSS AND FINE MOTOR ACTIVITIES, ARTS, TECHNOLOGY, SWIMMING, MUSIC AND A VARIETY OF FUN AND EDUCATIONAL TRIPS.
