THE PROJECT-BASED CURRICULUM ALLOWS STUDENTS TO GET OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONES AND CHALLENGED THEM TO WORK AS A TEAM. INSTRUCTORS WORK TO MAKE CONNECTIONS ACROSS THE CURRICULUM TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE IMMERSION TRIP IN THE FINAL WEEK WHERE STUDENTS LEARN WILDERNESS SKILLS AND NAVIGATION TECHNIQUES WHILE ENCOUNTERING NEW PLACES ON THIS EXPEDITION.WITH DREEAMS AS THE THEME OF THE PROGRAM, STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO BUILD ON LANGUAGE ARTS AND ALGEBRA SKILLS, WHILE INTEGRATING CULTURAL COMPETENCE, CHARACTER EDUCATION, ENGINEERING, ARTS, CIVICS, AND SCIENCE.
