CLASSIC SCHOOL MODELS NO LONGER FILL THE GAPS THAT EMPLOYERS ARE REPORTING: FROM SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SOFT SKILLS TO BEING ABLE TO THINK GLOBALLY AND PROBLEM SOLVE ON THE FLY. MICROSTEM DOES. AS STUDENTS BEGIN TO PARTICIPATE AND BECOME LEADERS WITHIN THEIR INDUSTRY WIDE DEPARTMENTS VENTURES, CAREER SKILLS ARE TAUGHT AND DEVELOPED TO PREPARE FOR THE WORLD OF WORK AND WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE, STUDENTS ARE CHALLENGED TO CONSIDER A RANGE OF ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS WHILE ALSO ANALYZING THEIR IMPACT ON THE REST OF THE INDUSTRY. WHILE EDUCATORS AND SCIENTISTS AGREE ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SCIENCE STANDARDS, MANY CURRICULUM OFFERINGS FALL SHORT OF MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH BY THE NGSS THREE DIMENSIONAL LEARNING FRAMEWORK. MICROSTEM PROVIDES THE VEHICLE TO MEET ALL THREE DIMENSIONS. PRACTICES ARE NOT ONLY TAUGHT, THEY ARE EMBEDDED WITHIN EACH JOB AS STUDENTS USE DESIGN THEORY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS WITHIN THEIR INDUSTRIES.
