PCA CURRENTLY CONTRACTS WITH 180 SERVICE PROVIDERS, CONTRACTORS AND VENDORS, WHO MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO MEET THE CARE NEEDS OF CONSUMERS.
LONG-TERM CARE SERVICES: PHILADELPHIA CORPORATION FOR AGING PERFORMED 25,061 ASSESSMENTS IN FY 2019 FOR INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF CARE AT HOME. PCA PROVIDED SERVICE COORDINATION SERVICES TO 21,000 CONSUMERS. THESE SERVICES INCLUDED HOME DELIVERED MEALS, PERSONAL CARE, HOME HEALTH CARE, NURSING CARE, PHYSICAL, SPEECH AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIES AND HOME MODIFICATIONS DEPENDING ON THE INDIVIDUAL'S NEEDS. THROUGH PCA'S CENTRALIZED MEAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER, MORE THAN 6,300 OLDER PHILADELPHIANS RECEIVED MORE THAN 1,900,000 NUTRITIONALLY-BALANCED HOT OR FROZEN MEALS LAST YEAR.
COMMUNITY SERVICES: PCA COORDINATES AND FUNDS A BROAD RANGE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS. THESE INCLUDE 18 SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTERS WHICH PROVIDE SOCIALIZATION, HEALTH SCREENINGS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO SOME 31,100 SENIORS. MORE THAN 540,000 MEALS WERE SERVED TO SENIORS IN FY 2019 AT THESE SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTERS AND THE 10 SATELLITE MEAL PROGRAMS FUNDED BY PCA. PCA ALSO FUNDED VARIOUS PROGRAMS FOR LEGAL, EMPLOYMENT AND VOLUNTEER SERVICES.
ACCESS SERVICES: IN FY 2019 MORE THAN 255,000 ONE-WAY RIDES WERE PROVIDED TO SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTERS, ADULT DAY SERVICES, MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AND SHOPPING. DOOR-THROUGH-DOOR AND UPPER FLOOR ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED 57,500 TIMES THROUGH ATTENDANT TRANSPORTAION SERVICES (ATS). THE PCA HELPLINE PROVIDED MORE THAN 138,758 CALLERS WITH INFORMATION AND REFERRAL THROUGH THE PCA HELPLINE.
