SAYRE HEALTH CENTER PROMOTES SOCIAL WELFARE AND DELIVERY OF HEALTH SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS OF THE WEST PHILADELPHIA AREA OF PENNSYLVANIA. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES ACCESSIBLE AND CULTURALLY SENSITIVE HIGH-QUALITY COMMUNITY BASED PRIMARY AND PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO THE UNDERSERVED WEST PHILADELPHIA COMMUNITY, AND OFFERS HEALTH SERVICES EDUCATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE, AND PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. SAYRE HEALTH CENTER IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ACCESS TO QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY.DURING FISCAL YEAR 2020, SAYRE RECEIVED $1,480,921 IN GRANTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, AND GENERATED NET PATIENT SERVICE REVENUE OF $1,406,026. IN FISCAL YEAR 2020, SAYRE PLANS TO EXTEND THEIR CURRENT LEASE SPACE BY 5,964 SQUARE FEET WHICH WILL ALLOW FOR ADDITIONAL PROVIDER CARE AND ADMINISTRATIVE CAPABILITIES. SAYRE HEALTH CENTER WAS ALSO IMPACTED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC WITH AN OVER 40% DROP IN PRIMARY CARE VISITS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AWARDED FUNDING TOTAL OF $745,759 TO COMBAT THE PANDEMIC AS PART OF THE COVID-19 CARES ACT FUNDING. THE FUNDING PROVIDED ADDITIONAL SUPPORT OF STAFFING, MINOR ALTERNATION FOR ADDITIONAL SPACE AND PROPERTY, PLANT AND EQUIPMENT. CURRENTLY, SAYRE HEALTH PROVIDES COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATION IN WEST PHILADELPHIA.
