. To ensure the well being of companion animals, while ending overpopulation, abuse and unwarranted euthanasia.
Provide for the well-being of companion animals in need, while adhering to our no-kill tradition, and find each a lifelong, loving home. In 2019, Animal Friends provided superior veterinary care, behavioral training, and shelter while finding loving homes for 2,501 homeless animals. Contributions associated with this activity were $690,331.
Promote the animal-human bond through education and outreach programs. In 2019, through our therapeutic, educational and supportive outreach initiatives, we touched the lives of over 124,370 elderly or hospitalized individuals and students. Contributions associated with this activity were $108,705.
Reduce the number of unwanted animals through agressive spay/neuter programs. Offer affordable wellness services and resources to pets and owners in need, targeting underserved communities, to support whole-life care. In 2019, augmented by our Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic, our low-cost spay/neuter program provided 8,407 surgeries to low-income families, bringing the total to over 150,000 surgeries since the program inception. In 2019, we also also provided 20,009 low-cost vaccines and other services. Without these subsidized service, many low-income families could not afford this level of care to their companion animals. Contributions associated with these activities were $620,066.
