Our mission is to engage our community in the making and appreciation of art by offering high quality art education and inspiration to individuals of all ages and abilities.
Artsmiths of Pittsburgh's art gallery and retail space feature locally made artwork and educates visitors about handmade products and the artists who create them. This also allows us to educate visitors about the creative process that goes into art mediums. All proceeds support our ongoing education, free exhibition and outreach programs
We offer classes and engage with a wide variety of students including youth, adults and seniors in the various levels of the arts. We focus on skill building so that students have a strong beginning base and can grow and develop to the next level of their chosen medium.
We operate a variety of summer camps that give young people exposure to a level of arts education that is not common in the suburban public school environment. This more in depth education provides a strong foundation for their future endeavors and opens young minds to increased creativity.
