Organizations Filed Purposes: ("FAMILYLINKS, INC.") PROVIDES INTEGRATED FAMILY-CENTERED SERVICES FOCUSED ON BEHAVIORAL, SOCIAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. FAMILYLINKS IS A NON-PROFIT SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY THAT PROVIDES MENTAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT DISABILITY PROGRAMS, CRISIS INTERVENTION, SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAMS, HOUSING SUPPORT, EMERGENCY SHELTER AND RESIDENTIAL CARE, AND SCHOOL-BASED PREVENTION SERVICES TO CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES: MENTAL HEALTH IS INCLUSIVE OF 1) THE OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE THERAPY TO CLIENTS, WHO ARE EXPERIENCING CONSEQUENCES ASSOCIATED WITH PSYCHIATRIC AND/OR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES. THROUGH ITS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AT MORE THAN 30 SCHOOLS ACROSS ALLEGHENY COUNTY. 2) SHORT-TERM ENHANCED PROGRAMMING (STEP) WHICH PROVIDES BRIEF MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN/YOUTH WITH SEVERE EMOTIONAL DISABILITIES. 3) FAMILY-BASED MENTAL HEALTH (FBMH) WHICH PROVIDES SUPPORT SERVICES AND THERAPY IN THE HOME, SCHOOL AND/OR COMMUNITY FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE CHILDREN WITH SIGNIFICANT EMOTIONAL/BEHAVIORAL DISTURBANCES WHO ARE AT IMMINENT RISK OF OUT-OF-HOME PLACEMENT. 4) MOBILE MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT (MMHT) IS A TEMPORARY SERVICE PROVIDED TO CLIENTS AGE 55 OR OLDER IN THEIR HOME TO HELP DEAL WITH PSYCHIATRIC AND/OR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES THAT KEEP THEM FROM SEEKING TREATMENT IN A CLINICAL SETTING. OUR SUBSTANCE ABUSE DEPARTMENT, THE RECOVERY SUPPORT CENTER (RSC) PROVIDES INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT AND STANDARD OUTPATIENT SERVICES FOR CHEMICALLY DEPENDENT ADULTS, INCLUDING THOSE WITH CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS, AND THEIR FAMILIES. WE ALSO OFFER A SIX-MONTH, RESIDENTIAL SERVICE THROUGH OUR TWO FAMILY TREATMENT CENTERS (FTC), FOR SUBSTANCE-DEPENDENT WOMEN AGES 18 AND OLDER AND THEIR CHILDREN, IN AN INTENSIVE THERAPEUTIC ENVIRONMENT. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON ACHIEVING AND MAINTAINING ABSTINENCE; DEVELOPING RECOVERY TOOLS; INCREASING LIFE SKILLS; IMPROVING PARENTAL EFFECTIVENESS; AND PRESERVING FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS. PROGRAMS IN OUR EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN OUR THERAPEUTIC LEARNING CENTER (TLC), WHICH SERVES CHILDREN PRE-K THROUGH 6TH GRADE WITH SEVERE BEHAVIORAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS. ADDITIONALLY, OUR THERAPEUTIC CLASSROOM MODEL (TCM) IS PROVIDED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PITTSBURGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS' PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH EXCEPTIONALITIES, FOR STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 5TH GRADE WHO HAVE SEVERE BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS RELATED TO MENTAL HEALTH ISSSUES. OUR SCHOOL-BASED PREVENTION PROGRAM PROVIDES MENTAL HEALTH AND DRUG/ALCOHOL PREVENTION OUTREACH TO INDIVIDUALS AND THE COMMUNITY IN A VARIETY OF SERVICE PLATFORMS. THE SUPPORTS COORDINATION (SC) DEPARTMENT HELPS CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH QUALIFIED INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES LOCATE AND SECURE THE SERVICES THEY NEED TO BE SAFE, HEALTHY, AND SUCCESSFUL. OUR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE COORDINATION (ASC) PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN/YOUTH WITH MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSES AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ENSURE ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE TREATMENT CONTINUITY OF CARE ACROSS VARIOUS CLINICAL AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICES. THE OPTIONS CARE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT HELPS OLDER ADULTS (AGE 60 OR OLDER) IN THE EASTERN REGION OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY TO REMAIN AS INDEPENDENT AS POSSIBLE BY PROVIDING ADVOCACY AND ENSURING THAT CLIENTS HAVE ACCESS TO NEEDED SERVICES.

YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES: OUR YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES INCLUDE OUR YOUTH EMERGENCY SHELTER SERVICES (YESS) PROGRAM THAT OFFERS TEMPORARY EMERGENCY SHELTER GROUP CARE FOR AT-RISK YOUTH, AGE 13 TO 21 YEARS, WITH THE PRIMARY FOCUS ON SAFETY, COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT, EDUCATION, SERVICE PLANNING AND FAMILY REUNIFICATION. OUR ADOLESCENT SEMI-INDEPENDENT LIVING (ASIL) PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPERVISED APARTMENT LIVING FOR YOUTH AGED 16 TO 21 YEARS, WITH A FOCUS ON VOCATIONAL, EDUCATIONAL AND LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FOR SUCCESSFUL INDEPENDENT LIVING AND TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD. THE DOWNTOWN OUTREACH CENTER AND SHELTER (DOCS) PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY SHELTER AND OUTREACH SERVICES TO HOMELESS AND AT-RISK YOUTH AGES 18 TO 24 FOR UP TO 60 DAYS. OUR TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM (TLP) PROVIDES SUPERVISED APARTMENT-STYLE LIVING FOR YOUTH AGE 18-21 WHO ARE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS OR AT IMMINENT RISK FOR BEING HOMELESS. YOUTH LEARN LIFE SKILLS, GET ASSISTANCE FINDING EMPLOYMENT AND LONG-TERM HOUSING, AND ARE PROVIDED WITH MEALS AND TRANSPORTATION DURING A STAY OF UP TO 21 MONTHS. THE STREET OUTREACH PROGRAM SENDS TRAINED OUTREACH WORKERS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH RUNAWAY, HOMELESS AND STREET YOUTH, WITH THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF ENCOURAGING THEM TO UTILIZE SHELTER FACILITIES AND OBTAIN LIFE-SKILLS TRAINING. OUR RESIDENTIAL ENHANCEMENT SERVICES, PLANNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEW DIRECTIONS (RESPOND) PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH UPMC-WESTERN PSYCHIATRIC INSTITUTE AND CLINIC, PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE MENTAL HEALTH RESIDENTIAL SERVICES TO YOUTH WHO ARE DUALLY DIAGNOSED WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES AND MENTAL ILLNESS AND WHO UTILIZE THREE OR MORE SERVICE SYSTEMS.

COMMUNITY SERVICE: THE COMMUNITY HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES HOUSING AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH IDENTIFIED DISABILITIES IN ALLEGHENY COUNTY. THE PROGRAM IS COMMITTED TO ASSISTING RESIDENTS WITH SKILLS AND RESOURCES TO HELP THEM BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT AND IMPROVE THEIR QUAILITY OF LIFE.
