THESE PROGRAMS CONNECT INDIVIDUALS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS, PROFESSIONAL LEVELS, AND ORGANIZATIONS TO SERVE THE REGION BY EXPOSING THESE LEADERS TO CRITICAL ISSUES, SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES. LPINC. CONNECTS PARTICIPANTS WITH OTHER LEADERS, WITHIN THE GREATER PITTSBURGH REGION, AND WITH THEIR OWN PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GOALS. LPINC. IS PROUD OF ITS GRADUATE NETWORK OF MORE THAN 2,000 INFLUENTIAL CIVIC LEADERS WORKING TO MAXIMIZE THE POTENTIAL OF OUR COMMUNITY. THESE GRADUATES ARE A RICH RESOURCE FOR AREA NONPROFIT AND PUBLIC BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.

TO STRENGTHEN REGIONAL LEADERSHIP THROUGH PROGRAMS, PARTNERSHIPS, AND CONNECTIONS.

LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH (LP)THE FLAGSHIP, HIGHLY-SELECTIVE PROGRAM GEARED TOWARDS ESTABLISHED LEADERS IS DESIGNED LIKE A HANDS-ON MBA IN COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP. THE TWELVE-DAY CURRICULUM, DISTRIBUTED OVER A TEN-MONTH PERIOD, EXAMINES CRITICAL COMMUNITY ISSUES (SUCH AS EDUCATION, REGIONAL ECONOMY, INCLUSION, HUMAN SERVICES, REGIONAL NEIGHBORHOODS/COMMUNITIES, INFRASTRUCTURE, LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AND THE ARTS), ENHANCES CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, DEVELOPS EXECUTIVE-LEVEL NETWORKS, AND EMPOWERS SENIOR MANAGERS TO IMPACT THEIR BUSINESS AND THE REGIONAL AGENDA AT A LEADERSHIP LEVEL. APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND ARE DUE ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF MAY EACH YEAR, WITH A FRESH COHORT OF ESTABLISHED, SUCCESSFUL PROFESSIONALS FROM THE CORPORATE, NONPROFIT, AND PUBLIC SECTORS STARTING THE PROGRAM EVERY SEPTEMBER. PROGRAM PARTICIPATION REQUIRES AN INVESTMENT ON THE PART OF THE APPLICANT AND/OR EMPLOYER IN THE FORM OF TUITION; SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE IN NEED.INCOMING PARTICIPANTS HAVE HIGH EXPECTATIONS ABOUT THE VALUE THEY WOULD DERIVE FROM PARTICIPATION. THIS PAST YEAR THE LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH PROGRAM MET OR EXCEEDED THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE PARTICIPANTS ON THE FOLLOWING METRICS:- WE ARE GRATIFIED TO REPORT THAT 97% OF THOSE RESPONDING TO THE POST-SURVEY (PERHAPS OUR MOST CRITICAL CONSTITUENT GROUP IN A GIVEN YEAR) SAID THEIR LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH EXPERIENCE WAS VALUABLE/VERY VALUABLE- 100% EXPANDED AND DIVERSIFIED THEIR NETWORK - 97% INCREASED AWARENESS OF COMMUNITY ISSUES- 97% ARE NOW MOTIVATED TO DO MORE AT THE LEADERSHIP LEVEL - 94% SAID THE PROGRAMS OPENED DOORS THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO MORE EFFECTIVELY IMPACT OUR REGION - 94% REPORTED A SHARPENED FOCUS ON HOW THEY LEAD IN ADDITION TO THE QUANTITATIVE FEEDBACK, BELOW ARE SOME PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIALS REGARDING THE VALUE OF THE LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH PROGRAM: 1. AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND TREMENDOUS LEARNING. YOU OPEN MY MIND BUT ALSO TOUCHED MY SOUL.2. THE PROGRAM IS ENGAGING AND ENCOURAGING. THE OPPORTUNITY OPENED MY EYES TO THE COMMUNITY AND VARIOUS ISSUES IMPACTING PITTSBURGH, AND IT TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT MYSELF ALONG THE WAY.3. LP WAS AN EXTREMELY VALUABLE EXPERIENCE. I CAME INTO THE PROGRAM WITH CERTAIN EXPECTATIONS (LEARNING ABOUT THE CHALLENGES IN THE AREA, CREATING A NETWORK, ETC.). THE PROGRAM STRETCHED ME FROM A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE MUCH MORE THAN I ANTICIPATED.4. THIS EXPERIENCE HELPED ME AMPLIFY MY VOICE IN ANY SETTING. I ALWAYS KNEW I HAD A VOICE BUT I WOULD ONLY USE IT SELECTIVELY OR IN CONVENIENT SETTINGS. NOW, I KNOW I MUST USE MY VOICE TO BRING ABOUT CHANGE AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY I GET A CHANCE TO.5. THIS HAS ARGUABLY BEEN THE MOST TUMULTUOUS LEADERSHIP YEAR OF MY LIFE, AND I'M NOT SURE I WOULD HAVE MADE IT THROUGH WITH INTEGRITY HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH. MY NORTH STAR HAS BEEN TO "INSPIRE A SHARED VISION", AND THE EXPOSURE I HAD TO SO MANY EXAMPLES OF GREAT LEADERSHIP MADE IT EASIER FOR ME TO SEE HOW I TOO CAN TAKE INSPIRED ACTIONS, EVEN AMIDST THE MOST COMPROMISING CIRCUMSTANCES.6. I COULDN'T SPEAK MORE HIGHLY OF MY LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH EXPERIENCE. THE CONTENT WAS ENGAGING AND THOUGHT PROVOKING, MY PEERS AND THE LP MANAGEMENT WERE ALL PROFESSIONAL AND INTELLIGENT.7. ONE OF THE MOST REWARDING EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE8. EVERYTHING CHANGES WHEN YOU ARE EXPOSED TO THE INNER WORKINGS OF A SYSTEM. THE ANSWERS ARE NOT AS BLACK AND WHITE AS WHEN YOU'RE ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN. I'M GRATEFUL FOR THE MINDFULNESS LP INSTILLED IN ME, AND I HOPE TO ALWAYS USE A MORE MEASURED APPROACH WHEN FACED WITH NEW CHALLENGES ON CRITICAL ISSUES.9. IT TRULY OPENED MY EYES TO A WHOLE NEW UNDERSTANDING OF THE VARIOUS DYNAMICS AND HOW POLICY CAN HELP OR HARM OUR COMMUNITIES. I'M NO LONGER LOOKING AT MY OWN PERSPECTIVE, BASED ON MY ROLE, BUT LOOKING AT OTHER PERSPECTIVES AS WELL!10. LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH CHANGES YOU AT THE CORE. YOU WALK AWAY AS A BETTER LEADER AND A BETTER HUMAN.11. BY EXAMPLE, THE LP TEAM PUT ON A MASTERCLASS IN HOW TO LEAD. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.12. LP WAS A GREAT GROUP OF DIVERSE LEADERS. I DID NOT AGREE WITH EVERYBODY'S PERSPECTIVES, BELIEFS, AND POLITICS, BUT LP TAUGHT ME TO OPEN UP MY CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES TO NEW IDEAS.13. IT WAS VERY CATHARTIC TO BE ABLE TO OPENLY SHARE OUR CHALLENGES WITH A GROUP OF SIMILARLY SITUATED REGIONAL LEADERS DURING ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING TIMES IN MODERN AMERICAN HISTORY. I FEEL THAT IT HELPED ME WEATHER THIS PERIOD BETTER THAN I WOULD HAVE WITHOUT. I WOULD ENCOURAGE LP LEADERSHIP TO USE OUR CLASS AS A "CASE STUDY" OF SOME SORT - I SUSPECT THAT IT WOULD HIGHLIGHT, MORE THAN EVER, THE VALUE OF THE LP PROGRAM IN PERIODS OF LEADERSHIP CRISES. FINALLY, I'LL CLOSE WITH GREAT THANKS TO EVERYONE AT LP THAT DELIVERED A TOP-SHELF EXPERIENCE TO THE PARTICIPANTS DURING CHALLENGING TIMES. IT WAS NOT LOST ON ME THAT YOU ALL HAD JOBS TO DO (LIKE OUR COHORT) DURING A VERY CHALLENGING TIME AND YOU ROSE TO THE OCCASION. YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD OF PRACTICING WHAT YOU PREACH AND I HOPE NEXT YEAR'S COHORT HAS AN EASIER GO OF THINGS!!!14. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT I WAS HONORED TO BE A PART OF LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH, AND I THANK YOU ALL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY. I LEARNED A LOT AND FEEL THAT THE EXPERIENCE PROVIDED TOOLS TO BE A MORE EFFECTIVE LEADER. IT ALSO MADE ME REALIZE THAT NETWORKING AND CONNECTING WITH OTHER LEADERS IS SO IMPORTANT WHEN FACED WITH CHALLENGES. OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME CHALLENGES, AND IT IS VERY HELPFUL TO TALK AND THINK OUT LOUD WITH OTHERS. I DID NOT REALIZE HOW MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMMUNITIES AND THE CITY WERE NOT KNOWN TO ME. I LEARNED THAT IN ORDER TO MAKE GOOD DECISIONS AND BE INNOVATIVE, YOU HAVE TO TAKE RISKS. I FEEL MORE CONNECTED - TO THE CITY, TO MYSELF AND TO THE CLASS MEMBERS. LEADERSHIP IS NOT ALL BUSINESS, IT'S ABOUT TYING YOUR LIFE EXPERIENCES TO YOUR VALUES AND APPROACHES. THIS PROCESS HAS TAKEN ME OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE, AND IT ALLOWED ME TO OPEN UP TO PEOPLE THAT AT FIRST WERE STRANGERS. I REALIZED THAT EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO SHARE, AND EVERYONE CAN LEARN FROM THOSE AROUND THEM. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE EXPERIENCE IN THE FUTURE WITHOUT HESITATION. I APPLAUD YOU ALL ON YOUR EFFORTS TO MAKING THIS PROGRAM AND THIS CITY GREAT!! THANK YOU!!15. THIS WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I SERIOUSLY DON'T HAVE ONE BAD TO SAY ABOUT MY LP EXPERIENCE. I LEARNED SOME GREAT TOOLS FOR BEING A BETTER LEADER - MOST IMPORTANTLY TO ME IS THAT YOU HAVE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW YOU CARE, AND THAT WILL MAKE IT SO MUCH EASIER FOR THEM TO FOLLOW YOU. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THIS EXPERIENCE!16. AS I MENTIONED EARLIER, LP CHALLENGED ME TO GO DEEPER INTO MY PERSONAL BAGGAGE THAN I ANTICIPATED. I AM A TECHNICAL, DETAILED, RESULTS ORIENTED LEADER. GOING DEEPER INTO THE PERSONAL ASPECTS FORCED BE TO BECOME MORE OPEN AND ALONG SOME DIMENSIONS MORE VULNERABLE. I BELIEVE THAT THIS HELPING ME DEVELOP A DIFFERENT DIMENSION TO MY LEADERSHIP APPROACH THAT I AM FINDING VALUABLE. LP ALSO HIGHLIGHTED THAT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE I CAN DO FROM THE COMMUNITY SIDE.17. I AM CHANGED FOREVER DUE TO LP. MY EYES ARE OPEN TO SO MANY ISSUES. I FEEL MORE CONFIDENT TO TALK ABOUT TOPICS THAT IMPACT THE COMMUNITY. I HAVE LEARNED FOREVER SKILLS AS A MANAGER AND LEADER IN MY INSTITUTION.18. LP WAS VERY MEANINGFUL. I THINK A KEY IS SUCCESSFULLY HAVING A VARIETY OF THOUGHT AND REAL DIALOGUE AROUND ISSUES. MUCH OF SOCIETY HAS LOST THE ABILITY TO DISAGREE WITHOUT BEING DISAGREEABLE. HENCE, MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS BECOME RARE. LP PROVIDED A SPACE AND ROOM FOR US TO LOOK AT MANY SERIOUS TOPICS WITH THE LENS OF HOW DO WE, INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY, MAKE THIS BETTER. WITH THAT AS THE FOCUS, IT WAS OK IF SOMEONE WANTED HIGHER TAXES AND SOMEONE WANTED LOWER TAXES, SOMEONE WANTED MORE REGULATION/SOMEONE WANTED LESS REGULATIONS, ETC. THE POINT WAS LISTENING TO EACH OTHER, HAVING RESPECTFUL CONVERSATIONS, LEARNING, ETC...

LEADNOW PITTSBURGH (LNP)LEADNOW PITTSBURGH WAS DEVELOPED AS A THREE YEAR FELLOWSHIP INITIATIVE IN 2018 TO FILL THE GAP IN THE ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR A NEW GENERATION OF ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING SOCIAL JUSTICE LEADERS. IT SOUGHT TO CULTIVATE THE REGION'S RANKS OF A DEFINED SET OF TRANSFORMATIONAL NONPROFIT LEADERS SPECIALLY TO HELP MEET THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES ARISING FROM THE REGION'S RESURGENCE (PRIOR TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC). CURATED BY LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH INC. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CALIFORNIA-BASED ROCKWOOD LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE, LNP ENGAGED PARTICIPANTS IN A YEARLONG FELLOWSHIP DESIGNED TO DEEPEN THEIR COMMUNITY IMPACT AND CONNECT THEM WITH LEADERS FACING SIMILAR CHALLENGES ACROSS THE REGION AND COUNTRY. PARTICIPATION IN THIS FELLOWSHIP WAS BY INVITATION ONLY FOR A COHORT SIZE OF APPROXIMATELY TWENTY FELLOWS WHO WERE SELECTED BY A JURY COMMITTEE FROM AMONG A POOL OF NEARLY ONE HUNDRED NOMINEES, IDENTIFIED BY A BROAD SPECTRUM OF CIVIC SECTOR LEADERS. THOSE SELECTED REPRESENTED A DIVERSE ARRAY OF COMMUNITY INNOVATORS AND DEMONSTRATED EXEMPLARY PERSONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP QUALITIES WITH A CAPACITY TO CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE REGION FOR ANOTHER FIFTEEN PLUS YEARS.THE FIRST COHORT OF THE FELLOWSHIP WAS LAUNCHED IN JANUARY 2018 AND COMPLETED BY DECEMBER OF 2018. THE SECOND COHORT COMPLETED ITS FELLOWSHIP IN DECEMBER 2019. THE THIRD COHORT IN 2020 WAS COMPRISED OF COLLABORATORS OF GRADUATES OF THE FIRST TWO COHORTS SO AS TO DEEPEN THE IMPACT OF THE TRAINING ACROSS THE ORGANIZATIONS. HERE ARE SOME QUALITATIVE REFLECTIONS ON THE IMPACT OF THE FELLOWSHIP FOR PARTICIPANTS: "PARTICIPATION IN LNP WAS A GAME CHANGER FOR ME. I NOT ONLY LEARNED SOME NEW PRACTICAL SKILLS AND TOOLS FOR LEADING; I LEARNED MORE ABOUT MYSELF. THE RESULT HAS BEEN A FEW STRATEGIC, MENTAL SHIFTS THAT HAVE GIVEN ME MORE CLARITY, CONFIDENCE, AND WISDOM IN MY WORK. THANK YOU LEADERSHIP PITTSBURGH!""THE LNP EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THE GREATEST GIFT I'VE EVER RECEIVED AS A LEADER AND HAS GIVEN ME BOTH CONCRETE AND MORE INTANGIBLE TOOLS THAT WILL STAY WITH ME THROUGHOUT MY LIFE. I LEAVE THIS EXPERIENCE FEELING MUCH MORE COMMITTED, GROUNDED, AND ENERGIZED TO CONTINUE TO WORK FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EQUITY IN MY COMMUNITY.""THE TRAINING EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS IN THE WAY THAT IT PROVIDED PRACTICAL TOOLS, A SPACE FOR SELF-REFLECTION AND REJUVENATION, AS WELL AS AN ENVIRONMENT TO BUILD STRONG CONNECTIONS WITH OTHER LEADERS.""I HAVE LEARNED MORE ABOUT MY OWN LEADERSHIP STYLE AS WELL AS OTHERS' STYLES THAT WILL HELP ME BETTER COMMUNICATE AND WORK EFFECTIVELY WITH OUR STAFF AND PARTNERS IN THIS WORK.""THE LEAD NOW FELLOWSHIP WAS RIPE WITH OPPORTUNITY - A CHANCE TO DIVE DEEP TO FURTHER MY ABILITIES TO CONNECT TO WHAT DRIVES ME TO DO THE WORK I DO, AND TO DO IT AS PASSIONATELY AND EFFECTIVELY AS POSSIBLE. WHAT MADE IT TRULY SPECIAL WAS THAT I WAS ABLE TO SHARE THAT JOURNEY WITH A GROUP OF OTHER PITTSBURGH SOCIAL JUSTICE LEADERS WHOSE WORK INSPIRES, REINVIGORATES, SUPPORTS, AND EXPANDS MY OWN IN A MYRIAD OF WAYS. AND NOW, NO MATTER WHERE I GO AND WHAT I DO, I FEEL THE WAYS I AM CONNECTED TO THESE PEOPLE AND THE WORK THEY DO, AND I SEE NEW WAYS THAT I CAN CONNECT FURTHER. PEOPLE IN PITTSBURGH WILL BE BETTER BECAUSE OF THIS FELLOWSHIP; WE MAY NEVER KNOW JUST HOW, BUT I'M CERTAIN IT IS TRUE.""THERE ARE A MYRIAD OF WAYS THAT THIS IS HELPING ME INDIVIDUALLY, BUT I KNOW THAT IN DOING SO, IT'S INCREASING MYABILITY TO HELP OTHERS.""THE PROGRAM IS NOTHING SHORT OF EXCELLENT."

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (LDI)A PROGRAM DISTINCT IN APPROACH FROM THE FLAGSHIP LP PROGRAM, LDI IS GEARED TOWARD TOP EMERGING TALENT WITHIN ORGANIZATIONS. THE PROGRAM USES A DATA-DRIVEN MODEL OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CREATED BY DR. ROBERT KELLEY OF CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY THAT OUTLINES STRATEGIC APPROACHES TO CEMENT THE PARTICIPANTS' STATUS AS STAR PERFORMERS IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY WORK. THESE LEADERSHIP SKILLS ARE DEVELOPED IN THE CONTEXT OF COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND EXPOSURE TO THE BENEFITS AS WELL AS NEEDS OF OUR REGION. PARTICIPANTS IN THIS TEN-MONTH PROGRAM INCLUDE YOUNG LEADERS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS AND A VARIETY OF DISCIPLINES. MANY HIGH-PERFORMING FIRMS IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA UTILIZE LDI AS A PART OF THEIR TALENT MANAGEMENT STRATEGY. APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND ARE DUE ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF JUNE EACH YEAR, WITH A FRESH COHORT OF YOUNG PROFESSIONALS FROM THE CORPORATE, NONPROFIT, AND PUBLIC SECTORS STARTING THE PROGRAM EVERY SEPTEMBER AND MEETING ONE/TWO TIMES A MONTH. PROGRAM PARTICIPATION REQUIRES AN INVESTMENT ON THE PART OF THE APPLICANT AND/OR EMPLOYER IN THE FORM OF TUITION; SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE IN NEED.SURVEYMONKEY RESULTS FOR THE RECENT LDI CLASS COMPRISING OF NEARLY FIFTY YOUNG LEADERS REFLECT WELL ON THE PROGRAM'S ABILITY TO DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS, HONE PROFESSIONAL/SOCIAL NETWORKS, AND CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPACT THE COMMUNITY FOR LDI PARTICIPANTS. THE FOLLOWING QUANTITATIVE INDICATORS STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN STRENGTHENING THE LEADERSHIP OF THE LDI CLASS THROUGH PROGRAMS, PARTNERSHIPS, AND CONNECTIONS:- 97% FOUND THE PROGRAM EXPERIENCE TO BE VALUABLE/VERY VALUABLE AND STRONGLY AGREED THAT THE PROGRAM OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO HONE LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND CAPACITIES- 100% AGREED THAT THE PROGRAM DIVERSIFIED THEIR NETWORKS, WHICH THEY WOULD UTILIZE TO MAKE A GREATER IMPACT - 97% FEEL THAT THE PROGRAM OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO HONE LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND CAPACITIES - 97% OF THE CLASS FELT MORE STRONGLY MOTIVATED TO BE ENGAGED IN THE COMMUNITY AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATING IN LDISOME STATEMENTS OF SUPPORT FROM RECENT LDI CLASS MEMBERS FOLLOW:"LDI HAS SHOWN ME THAT ENTHUSIASM AND PASSION ARE READILY AVAILABLE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, ALL ONE NEEDS TO DO IS 'STEP IN' PARTICIPATE IN IT. FURTHER, LDI HAS BOLSTERED US WITH THE SKILL FRAMEWORK FOR HONING OUR PASSION AND ENTHUSIASM AS TO ENSURE THAT IT REMAINS RELEVANT AND APPROPRIATE WITH THE ULTIMATE AIM BEING COMMUNITY BENEFIT." "I THINK SERVICE LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN TALKED ABOUT A LOT IN MY ORGANIZATION AND THIS INDUSTRY, BUT I THINK BETWEEN THE STAR PERFORMER MODEL AND THE EXPERIENCE WITH POP-UP, I ACTUALLY THINK MY UNDERSTANDING OF HOW TO BE AN EFFECTIVE SERVICE LEADER HAS REALLY INCREASED, AND I CAN PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND INFLUENCE POSITIVE CHANGE FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS IN MY ORGANIZATION.""FANTASTIC PROGRAM I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT LEADERSHIP AND BECOMING ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY.""I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF MY LDI JOURNEY! THANKS FOR MAKING IT A WORTHWHILE EFFORT.""LDI EMPOWERED ME TO EXAMINE THE QUALITIES OF A STAR LEADER, FOLLOWER, AND TEAM MEMBER. THE SESSIONS SHARED PRACTICAL INSIGHTS THAT I CAN USE DAILY.""PRIOR TO LDI, I HAD ALWAYS THOUGHT OF LEADERS AS THE FIRST TO SPEAK, HIGHLY OPINIONED, SOMEWHAT OBNOXIOUSLY BOLD TYPE OF PEOPLE. I'VE LEARNED THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE THAT LEADERS COME IN MANY SHAPES AND FORMS, AND THAT IT IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO BE YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF WHEN LEADING.""I USED TO TAKE A "ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL" APPROACH TO MY MANAGEMENT STYLE. THROUGHOUT THIS EXPERIENCE, I LEARNED THAT IT'S MUCH BETTER TO LET PEOPLE PLAY TO THEIR STRENGTHS AND ALLOW SPACE FOR EMPLOYEES TO BE CREATIVE IN THEIR OWN WORK.""IT REFRESHED THE CONCEPT OF "TEAMWORK" FOR ME THROUGH LDI EXPERIENCE. I ALSO LEARNED AND IMPLEMENTED "FOLLOWERSHIP" THROUGH POPUP! PROJECT, WHICH WAS A NEW CONCEPT FOR ME FROM THE BEGINNING.""THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING ME. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME PART OF THIS COMMUNITY. THANKS FOR ARMING ME WITH INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE AND TOOLS. THANK YOU FOR CHALLENGING ME AND EMPOWERING ME AND HELPING ME GET TO KNOW MYSELF BETTER. I'LL WORK HARD TO MAKE YOU PROUD OF ME.""IT WAS DEFINITELY EYE OPENING AS SOMETIMES WE GET STUCK IN OUR DAILY BUBBLE (BUSINESS) AND IT WAS REFRESHING TO GO OVER THE CORE LEADERSHIP VALUES AND ALMOST SELF-REFLECT IN A WAY. ALSO ENJOYED BEING EXPOSED TO THE VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGION AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THE POSITIVE IMPACT THEY MAKE FOR THE COMMUNITY.""I'VE LEARNED THAT LEADERSHIP IS AS DIVERSE AS THE HUMAN RACE. ONE OF MY COHORT MEMBERS IS INCREDIBLY LOW-KEY BUT HE COMMANDS RESPECT IN THE WAY THAT HE CARRIES HIMSELF, THE WAY HE OWNS HIS FIELD, AND THE WAY THAT HE CARES FOR OTHER PEOPLE. ANOTHER COHORT MEMBER IS INCREDIBLY DIRECT, AND STILL ANOTHER IS MORE OF AN ENTHUSIASTIC OPTIMIST. I'VE GAINED CONFIDENCE IN MY STYLE, KNOWING THAT IT REFLECTS MY PERSONAL STRENGTHS AND VALUES.""THANK YOU. THIS HAS BEEN AN INVIGORATING AND INSIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE. EACH LESSON GENUINELY IMPACTED ME AND ENCOURAGED ME TO REFLECT ON WHO I TRULY AM AND HOW I CAN PUT MY VALUES TO WORK. LDI CONNECTED ME WITH SO MANY SOLID, WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND I'VE BUILT A CONNECTION WITH ALMOST EVERYONE. THIS GROUP SHINES BRIGHT, AND I'M HONORED TO HAVE SHARED THIS AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH EACH OF THEM. WE LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES WHERE AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP IS MANIFESTING IN NEW FORMS EVERY DAY. CORPORATE LEADERSHIP, CIVIC LEADERSHIP, POLITICAL LEADERSHIP, IT'S ALL EVOLVING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES AND LDI HAS BEEN A MUCH NEEDED LIGHT FOR THOSE TIMES WHEN DRIVING IN THE DARK. LDI HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL JOURNEY WHERE I'VE BEEN FORTUNATE TO MEET ILLUMINATING TRAVELERS WITH SIMILAR DRIVE AND VALUES."
