OPERATIONS - THE CORE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO BE FOSTERING A CLEAN AND SAFE DOWNTOWN. A DOWNTOWN THAT IS PERCEIVED AS SAFE AND CLEAN IS LIKELY TO ATTRACT PEOPLE FOR BUSINESS AND PLEASURE. KEEPING DOWNTOWN STREETS WELL LIT, POLICED, AND CLEAN ALL CONTRIBUTE TO KEEPING DOWNTOWN SAFE. THE CORRELATION BETWEEN CLEAN STREETS AND SAFE STREETS IS WIDELY RECOGNIZED; A LOW PREVALENCE OF LITTER, DEBRIS AND GRAFFITI GENERALLY RESULTS IN A LOW INCIDENCE OF SERIOUS CRIME. IN 2019, CLEAN AMBASSADORS OF THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED LABOR FOR THE REMOVAL OF TRASH, REMOVAL OF GRAFFITI AND HOSPITALITY ASSISTANCE TO VISITORS AND THE STREET TEAM CONTINUED ADDRESSING PANHANDLING INCIDENTS AND INITIATING HOMELESS OUTREACH CONTACTS.
