Organizations Filed Purposes: PENNSYLVANIA INTERFAITH IMPACT NETWORK (PIIN) IS A FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO WORK IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHERS TO MAXIMIZE HUMAN POTENTIAL AND ATTAIN JUSTICE AND EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL PERSONS IN THE GREATER PITTSBURGH REGION. THE ORGANIZATION HAS AN INTERFAITH, MULTI- RACIAL, AND ECONOMICALLY DIVERSE MEMBERSHIP, DRAWN FROM BOTH URBAN AND SUBURBAN AREAS. IT EMPLOYS COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND ISSUE ADVOCACY TO ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF PROBLEMS AND BRING ABOUT SYSTEMIC CHANGES. PIIN ENDEAVORS TO EMPOWER CONGREGATIONS AND OTHER MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS TO LEVERAGE INFLUENCE UPON INSTITUTIONS AND SYSTEMS IN ORDER TO BRING ABOUT EQUITABLE ACCESS TO PUBLIC SERVICES AS WELL AS ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WHICH BENEFITS THE COMMUNITY.

STATE ORGANIZING: PIIN IS PART OF A STATE COALITION "CAMPAIGN FOR FAIR EDUCATION FUNDING". THE CAMPAIGN HAS ALREADY WON A FAIR FUNDING FORMAL AND IS WORKING TO INCREASE OVERALL FUNDING FOR EDUCATION. PIIN HAS BAS BEGUN OUTREACH TO TEST THE POTENTIAL FOR BUILDING A PROJECT IN BEAVER AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES. EXPENSES RELATED TO THE WORK OF THE PIIN IMMIGRATION TASK FORCE OR PIIN LEADERSHIP TO ADDRESS ISSUES OF ANTI-IMMIGRANT AND XENOPHOBIA THROUGHOUT OUR STATE. THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF OUR WORK IS TO PASS COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM WITH A PATHWAY TO CITIZENSHIP AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL OF OUR GOVERNMENT. EXPENSES RELATED TO THE WORK OF THE PIIN CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM ARE TO LEADERSHIP TO ADDRESS ISSUES OF MASS INCARCERATION AND SUPERVISED RELEASE OF INDIGENT PEOPLE BY TARGETING THE BROKEN ELEMENTS OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM THAT PERPETUATE THE SCHOOL-TO-PRISON PIPELINE AND OVER-POLICING.

LOCAL 1. EDUCATION TASK FORCE EXPENSES RELATED TO THE WORK OF THE EDUCATION TASK FORCE OR PIIN LEADERSHIP TO BUILD ACCOUNTABILITY INTO PITTSBURGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS, IMPROVE EQUITY OF EDUCATION IN THE REGION AND PROMOTE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. 2. PUBLIC SAFETY TASK FORCE EXPENSES RELATED TO THE WORK OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY TASK FORCE OR PIIN LEADERSHIP TO ADDRESS ISSUES OF GUN VIOLENCE, COMMUNITY/POLICE RELATIONS, AND POLICE DIVERSITY AND ANTI-RACIAL PROFILING AND ENSURE EQUAL TREATMENT OF ALL PEOPLE BY THE POLICE. 3. RATEPAYER JUSTICE TASK FORCE EXPENSES RELATED TO PIIN'S WORK WITH THE CLEAN RIVERS CAMPAIGN TO SECURE A GREEN FIRST/COMMUNITY FIRST APPROACH TO THE ALCOSAN SEWER FIX, SECURE A CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND ASSURE THAT ALL THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTE TO THE STORM WATER PROBLEM PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE. 3. LOW WAGE WORKER TABLE EXPENSES RELATED TO SUPPORTING AND BRING A FAITH/MORAL FRAME TO THE EFFORTS OF WORKERS TO SECURE A FAIR WAGE AND THE RIGHT TO COLLECTIVELY BARGAIN. EXPENSES RELATED TO PARTICIPATION IN THE WORKER ORGANIZING TABLE. 4. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES RELATED TO LOCAL AND NATIONAL TRAINING OF LEADERS. THIS INCLUDES LOCAL TRAINING EXPENSES FOR BOARD AND OTHER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING FOOD, MATERIALS, TRAINERS, PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS AND COST OF NATIONAL TRAINING FOR PIIN LEADERS. 5. EXPANSION EXPENSES RELATED TO EXPANDING PIIN'S CONGREGATIONAL MEMBERSHIP. 6. CONGREGATIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES RELATED TO DEVELOPING CORE TEAMS AND CONGREGATIONAL IN-REACH TO STRENGTHEN PIIN CONGREGATIONS.
