Pittsburgh Youth Chorus is dedicated to enriching lives through professional-level choral education and performance. PYC provides opportunities for a diverse group of children to realize their innate artistic potential and share experiences that enrich their lives.
Pittsburgh Youth Chorus' mission is to provide superior choral education and performance opportunities to children, a professional-level children's choir to audiences and training to current and future music educators. Pittsburgh Youth Chorus' three choirs are comprised of children (ages 8 to 16) who reside throughout the 10 county Pittsburgh region. Children in the program receive serious music training, perform on professional stages throughout the community, and provide a "living laboratory" to music education majors at Duquesne University where they are an ensemble in residence.
