Organizations Filed Purposes: SHCDPs mission is to nurture, support and develope our community through wholesome programs that address academic, moral, cultural, health and recreational needs of our children, youth and their families in the Hill District and Metropolitan Pittsburgh area.

Programs for youth children ages 3-18 during after school and summer hours for the Schenley Heights and Pittsburgh community.

After school tutorial and enrichment program A-STEP provides academic and social support to children Pre-K through 8th grade. A-STEP serves over 100 children with a focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening, mathematics, and behavioral management.

The Summer Enrichment Program SEP engages participants from ages 5-14 in acamdemic enrichment, exposure to the arts, participation in sports and recreational activities, involvement in community service projects and numerous other experiences that encourage them to explore their talents.
