TRIPURA FOUNDATION IS A GLOBAL ORGANIZATION WORKING IN INDIA, THE USA AND MEXICO TO BRING TRANSFORMATIONAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, FOOD, HEALTH RESOURCES AND ENTREPRENURIAL TRAINING TO THE POOREST COMMUNITIES.
In 2019 the Foundation had an impact on the lives of thousands of people through these Global Initiatives:Hope Learning Centers (India) 4,538 children were educated in 101 after-school Hope Learning Centers in India bringing the total children served to date to 17,350. Each center offers support for traditional academics, phonemic intelligence brain-training, character-building lessons, yoga, a nutritious mini-meal, career-training, creative activities and cultural events.Phonemic Intelligence (PI) School Program (USA, India, Mexico) We partnered directly with 1,125 selected public schools in the USA, Mexico and India to deliver PI brain-training to over 65,125 students K-12th grade. PI has been shown to improve cognitive abilities, test scores, classroom behavior and supports character development.Hope for the Elderly (India)Children attending the Hope Learning Centers identified abandoned elders in need of urgent support in their communities. Each month, Essentials Kits that contained food, hygiene essentials, and seasonal items such as blankets and cough syrup- were delivered to each elder. Essentials kits provided food for over 92,160 meals throughout the year. Hope Center children occasionally visited the elders and helped with chores. 96 elders were matched with monthly sponsors to provide ongoing support in 2019.Million Meals of Hope (India) 1,091,576 meals were served to children and elders living in poverty in rural India during 2019. These meals ward off the pains of hunger and meet urgent nutrition needs. In total, the foundation has served over 11,037,177 meals in the US, Mexico, India and Singapore.
