FOUNDED IN 1856, ALBRIGHT COLLEGE OFFERS PROGRAMS FOR BOTH TRADITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AND POST-TRADITIONAL ADULT LEARNERS. STUDENTS AT ALBRIGHT ARE ENCOURAGED TO CROSS INTELLECTUAL AND CULTURAL BOUNDARIES, AND TO TAILOR THEIR OWN PATHS WITHIN A VIBRANT, ACTIVE, AND DIVERSE CAMPUS COMMUNITY. A COMBINATION OF CLOSE FACULTY MENTORSHIP, A FLEXIBLE, ADAPTABLE CURRICULUM, AND REAL-WORLD LEARNING ALLOWS STUDENTS TO EXPLORE CREATIVE SOLUTIONS, UNDERSTAND THE WORLD'S INCREASING INTERCONNECTEDNESS, AND DISCOVER NEW IDEAS, NEW SKILLS, AND NEW OUTLOOKS. AT ITS CORE, ALBRIGHT IS A LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGE, DEVELOPING IN STUDENTS THE SKILLS THAT EMPLOYERS SEEK MOST - THE ABILITY TO ADAPT WELL TO CHANGE, COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY, THINK CRITICALLY AND ANALYTICALLY, INTERACT CONSTRUCTIVELY WITH OTHERS, AND VIEW PROBLEMS FROM MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES. GRADUATES FIND THAT AN ALBRIGHT EDUCATION CULTIVATES AND HONES THE VERY TOOLS THEY NEED FOR A LIFETIME OF SUCCESS, NO MATTER WHAT ROAD THEY TRAVEL OR HOW MANY TURNS IT TAKES. OUR GRADUATES INDICATE VERY HIGH ENGAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION WITH ACTIVITIES THAT THE GALLUP ORGANIZATION HAS ASSOCIATED WITH LONG-TERM SUCCESS.ALBRIGHT HAS AGAIN BEEN NAMED ONE OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN THE NORTHEAST BY THE PRINCETON REVIEW. ALBRIGHT HAS A DISTINGUISHED HISTORY OF LEADERSHIP IN UNDERGRADUATE SCIENCE EDUCATION, PREMEDICAL STUDY, AND PREPARATION FOR CAREERS IN HEALTH SERVICES, AND HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE 25 BEST COLLEGES IN THE NATION FOR ARTISTIC STUDENTS. THE COLLEGE IS NAMED ONE OF THE NATION'S TOP PRIVATE FASHION DESIGN AND FASHION MERCHANDISING SCHOOLS, OFFERING A PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS ACADEMICALLY STRONG, MOTIVATED STUDENTS TO COMPLETE A FASHION MERCHANDISING DEGREE IN JUST THREE YEARS.OVER 51 PERCENT OF GRADUATES EXERCISED THE CREATIVE OPTIONS WITHIN ALBRIGHT'S FLEXIBLE CURRICULUM AND PURSUED AN INTERDISCIPLINARY MAJOR, A DOUBLE MAJOR OR MAJOR/MINOR COMBINATION. ON AVERAGE, OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS, OVER 85 PERCENT OF OUR GRADUATES WERE EITHER EMPLOYED OR CONTINUING THEIR EDUCATION WITHIN SIX MONTHS AFTER GRADUATION. ALBRIGHT'S HISTORICALLY STRONG PLACEMENT RATES INTO HEALTH PROFESSION SCHOOLS OF MEDICINE, DENTISTRY, VETERINARY, AND OPTOMETRY CONTINUE. ALBRIGHT'S SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES OFFERS OPTIONS FOR POST-TRADITIONAL LEARNERS SEEKING ACCELERATED BACHELOR'S DEGREES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT PENNSYLVANIA. THE SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES ALSO OFFERS A MASTER'S DEGREE IN EDUCATION AND AN ONLINE ADDICTION STUDIES MINOR AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAM. THE ADDICTION STUDIES PROGRAM FULFILLS THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO BECOME CERTIFIED AS AN ALCOHOL AND DRUG COUNSELOR (CADC), OR ASSOCIATE ADDICTION COUNSELOR (AAC) BY THE PENNSYLVANIA CERTIFICATION BOARD.THIS PAST YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 1,625 FULL-TIME STUDENTS REPRESENTING 27 STATES AND 15 COUNTRIES WERE ENROLLED IN ALBRIGHT'S TRADITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM.
