HERITAGE VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM FOUNDATION TRANSFERRED TO HERITAGE VALLEY SEWICKLEY, A DIVISION OF VALLEY MEDICAL FACILITIES, INC., A RELATED TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION, TO REIMBURSE FOR COSTS INCURRED FOR THE FOLLOWING:HVS NURSING EDUCATION AND SIMULATION CENTER - $231,880 THE SOURCE OF FUNDS IS THE GRANT FROM THE RAYMOND C. AND MARTHA S. SUCKLING FUND AT THE PITTSBURGH FOUNDATION. A FLOOR OF THE FORMER HVHS SCHOOL OF NURSING BUILDING HAS BEEN DESIGNATED TO BE A NURSING EDUCATION AND SIMULATION CENTER. THE CURRENT VACANT AREA REQUIRES ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNS / DRAWINGS AND PA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH APPROVAL PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. A FULL SCOPE OF WORK AND BUDGET WILL BE DEVELOPED ONCE THE DESIGN AND APPROVAL IS COMPLETE. WHILE THE CENTER WILL HOUSE A STATE OF THE ART SIMULATION LAB AND MANIKINS, THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR TRAINING ON MANIKINS. THE MANIKINS WILL BE SUBSEQUENTLY MOVED TO THE CENTER. THE NUMBER OF PATIENT CASES IN CHS PROGRAMS FROM JULY 1, 2019 TO JUNE 30, 2020 WAS 997. PROGRAM OUTCOMES ARE COLLECTED IN EACH SERVICE AREA.
