Organizations Filed Purposes:
DELIVER WORKFORCE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR IN DEMAND CAREER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. WE COLLABORATE WITH EMPLOYERS AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS TO DRIVE SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC STABILITY, UTILIZING A BLEND OF ADULT JOB TRAINING AND YOUTH ARTS MENTORSHIP TO BREAK GENERATIONAL POVERTY CYCLES. TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE THE DEPENDENCE OF PERSONS ON GOVERNMENT PROVIDED OR SUBSIDIZED PROGRAMS, RELIEVE POVERTY BY TEACHING JOB SKILLS, RAISING SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-RESPECT, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, RELIABILITY, ATTENDANCE, AND WORK ETHICS. TO DEVELOP VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND REMEDIAL TRAINING PROGRAMS PRIMARILY TO DISADVANTAGED PERSONS AND DISLOCATED WORKERS. TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN THE PROCESS OF ART MAKING AND ARTISTIC COMMUNICATION AS A WAY TO STIMULATE INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING, APPRECIATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE. TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE YOUTH THROUGH THE ARTS ON THEIR WAY TO BECOMING PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS.
THE ORGANIZATION IMPROVES EDUCATION IN THE WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND EASTERN OHIO AREAS BY OFFERING AFTER SCHOOL YOUTH ARTS PROGRAMS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, WHICH SUPPLEMENT THE EDUCATION THEY ARE RECEIVING IN THE TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM. DIGITAL ARTS AND CERAMICS WILL BOTH BE OFFERED. THE ORGANIZATION HAS ALREADY STARTED THEIR CORE CERAMIC CURRICULUM AND WILL EXPAND ONCE THE BUILDING IS FULLY OPERATIONAL AND ADDITIONAL FUNDING IS SECURED. THE YOUTH ARTS PROGRAMS ARE PROVEN PROGRAMS THAT WILL INCREASE GRADUATION RATES AND BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH PUBLIC SCHOOLS, POSITIVELY IMPACTING MAINLY UNDERSERVED STUDENT POPULATIONS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THE CERAMICS PROGRAM WAS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS IN THE FARRELL AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT, SHARON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, WEST MIDDLESEX AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT AND BROOKFIELD LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WILL OFFER ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO EQUIP POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES WITH THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM JOBS WHICH ARE IN HIGH DEMAND. THE ADULT PROGRAMS WILL ALLOW QUALIFIED APPLICANTS TO OBTAIN IN-DEMAND JOBS AT A LIVABLE WAGE WITH BENEFITS. IN MANY CASES, A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE ADULT STUDENT POPULATION MOVE FROM PUBLIC ASSISTANCE TO EMPLOYMENT, BREAKING CYCLES OF GENERATIONAL POVERTY AND TRULY GIVING PEOPLE A HAND UP. THE INITIAL PROGRAM OFFERING IS MEDICAL ASSISTANT, WHICH WILL PREPARE POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES TO BE PART OF THE EVER GROWING HEALTH CARE PROFESSION. THE ORGANIZATION SECURED THEIR STATE LICENSE IN DECEMBER 2017 THROUGH THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR BOTH THE ADULT JOB TRAINING SCHOOL AND MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM CURRICULUM, AND CLASSES BEGAN IN THE SUMMER OF 2018.
