Organizations Filed Purposes:
Currently we are working in the villages of Garde Saline, Dumas, and Viard, Haiti trying to build sustainable communities. The projects for 2020 include running public compost toilets, running two medical clinics, administering Two women's micro loan programs, supporting a Christian grade school, doing village leadership training and formation and working to strengthen the Garde Saline Baptist Church.
We provided training and salaries for medical staff and funding for medical supplies, drugs, and medical equipment for two villiage run medical clinics and one larger general short term clinic for Covid Virus prevention. The two village Clinics were open two days of the week in each village and local users only pay a small fraction of cost to operate
Provided leadership training in four villages and held a regional village leadership conference with the purpose of developing local leadership capabilities. Also as part of leadership development, 10 villages were visited twice each to do an assessment of prior village leadership councils and programs that were commissioned in previous years in those villages.
A large scale and smaller scale chicken production project was completed in Garde Saline and Viard along with providing 4 fishing boat motors and support to Garde Saline fishermen's association. A large scale goat raising project was funded in the village of Dumas. Also a Rice Mill operation was repaired in Garde Saline
