City Convene: A GoodCities Leadership Development Conference was held at Oak Ridge Conference Center in Chaska, Minnesota, for Executive Directors of nonprofits leading collective impact work in twenty cities throughout the United States. The goal was to introduce new ways to use big data combined with local primary data to measure the outcomes of the work being done through the cross-sector collaborations on critical social issues. In these sessions, leaders were exposed to ARCGIS Mapping tools as well as new dashboards that provide shared real time measurement of their work.
City Coach: GoodCities Community Coaching is a vital extension of our leadership development work that helps to implement what they learn through City Convene and City Connect. In 2019, GoodCities coaches worked with leaders in Monterey, CA; Florence, SC; Cincinnati, OH; Colorado Springs, Co; and Minneapolis, MN. Achievements included new highly efficient delivery of services to the homeless in Monterey and Florence; foundational work for measuring outcomes in a "culture of wellness" in Cincinnati; and strengthened convening of community leaders to improve volunteer engagement in Colorado Springs and Minneapolis.
City Connect: GoodCities Communications services offers books, articles, blogs, v-logs, podcasts, and other media resources through our website at www.goodcities.net. These resources are vitally important to the leadership of local groups who are using collective impact approaches to address critical societal issues in cities.
