Laketrails is a nonprofit corporation founded on Christian values and traditions, serving teenage youth. Through a widerness camping adventure, teens learn healthy lifestyles, how to live in harmony with the Earth and each other, and how to give back to the community.
Laketrails only program is providing a wilderness camping experience to teenaged youth. During 2018, Laketrails served 256 youth including at-risk youth, school groups and individual teens. Laketrails program promotes the growth of individual self esteem through personal accomplishment, provides a setting and role models for community living that foster social awareness and social interaction skills, and demonstrates for teens how their interaction with the natural environment affects both them and the environment.
