The Northern Lights Clubhouse vision is that all members of our community, regardless of their unique challenges, will be supported to live their best lives and contribute to the well-being of the broader community through empowerment, acceptance, and education. In 2019, the program expanded its art, exercise, and nutritional programming for Clubhouse members, adults experiencing mental health challenges. Members conducted increased mental health education throughout the year including at the Ely Farmers Market and the NLC Lunch Exchange, a new monthly hosted discussion about mental health stigma and community service providers.

The purpose of the Ely Behavioral Health network (Ely BHN) Development Project is to expand access to, coordinate, and improve the quality of behavioral health care services through care coordination in rural Northeast (NE) Iron Range communicities. In 2019, the BHN brought a variety of professional development to the area for community members and service providers including crisis intervention training, Menthal Health First Aid, and suicide prevention training. The BHN facilitated community drug prevention efforts through the EPARC community group as well as supported providor coordination around expanded telehealth and re-entry services. Pathway to Wellness continued operating four community sites which served hudnreds of community members with care facilitation.

In late 2019, Well Being Development began operating supported employment programming for adults living with mental illness and other challenges. The goal is to provide wrap- around supports that assist people in finding and maintaining mainstream, competitive employment. This new pilot program hired and trained one Employment Specialist and began working with a small caseload of participants.
