Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of HOPE Center is to create zero tolerance for sexual and domestic violence through Healing, Outreach, Prevention and Education. Through innovative programming, we offer direct support to victims of violence in Rice County, collaborative support to other organizations that serve victims, and educational support to the entire community.
Services to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence
We have a crisis line (24/7/365) for crisis intervention services, placement in local safe homes for adults and children in danger, accompaniment at evidentiary exams, support groups, individual advocacy, referrals and general support; information about victims' rights and reparations, assistance with court remedies such as Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders; accompaniment to civil and criminal court hearings; aid in the development and training of response agencies, outreach, prevention and education initiatives to civic, school and community organizations.
SMART-HOPE Center works in coordination with several other organizations to provide a victim centered, integrated response team to assist victims with healing, justice and accountability.
The Blueprint is anchored in six foundational principles identified as essential characteristics of intervention that maximize safety for victims of domestic violence and hold offenders accountable while offering them opportunities to change.
