MACROSTIE ART CENTER'S MISSION IS TO INSPIRE A CREATIVE COMMUNITY. MAC OPERATES A COMMUNITY ART CENTER TO SUPPORT LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS, PROVIDES ART EDUCATION FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, AND PROMOTES AWARENESS OF THE ARTS IN NORTHERN MINNESOTA.

IN ITS EDUCATION PROGRAM, MAC OFFERED 90 ART CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS, HOSTED FIELD TRIPS, AND ATTENDED OUTREACH EVENTS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS. IN SUPPORT OF THE LOCAL ARTS ECONOMY, MAC SOLD ARTWORK FOR OVER 100 DIFFERENT ARTISTS, COORDINATED A REGIONAL STUDIO TOUR, AND HOSTED ITS ANNUAL DOWNTOWN ART FAIR FEATURING ARTIST VENDORS, LIVE MUSIC, AND ART ACTIVITIES. THE MAC WAS ALSO ONE OF THE PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS HOSTING THE 2019 RURAL ARTS AND CULTURE SUMMIT WHICH TOOK PLACE IN GRAND RAPIDS, MINNESOTA.
