SCHOOL BASED PROGRAMS - STC'S COLLABORATIVE APPROACH WITH SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS HAS LED TO THE DESIGN OF EFFECTIVE ARTS INTEGRATED PROGRAM MODELS AND STANDARDS-BASED THEATER CURRICULA. STC STRIVES TO BE REGARDED AT THE TOP OF THEIR FIELD WITH REGARD TO BEST PRACTICES AND INNOVATIVE DELIVERY OF PROGRAMMING AND ARTS INTEGRATION IN THE CLASSROOM. STC'S FOCUS ON ARTS AND LITERACY SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAMMING POSITIONS THE ORGANIZATION TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS THE ACHIEVEMENT GAP AND GRADUATION RATE ISSUES IN FUNDAMENTAL WAYS. EDUCATION PROGRAMS - OUR INTENSIVE CONSERVATORY PROGRAM AND CREATIVE WORKSHOPS ENGAGE YOUTH AGES 4-18 IN HIGH QUALITY THEATER ARTS TRAINING PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION TO DEVELOPING THEIR CREATIVE ABILITIES, STUDENTS LEARN RESPONSIBILITY, SELF-DISCIPLINE, PERSEVERANCE, AND SELF-WORTH. STC HIRES AND RETAINS SOME OF THE MOST TALENTED AND EFFECTIVE TEACHING ARTISTS IN THE TWIN CITIES. THESE ARTISTS AND PROGRAMS, ALONG WITH HIGH QUALITY ADMINISTRATION AND EVALUATION, MAKE STC THE LEADING PROVIDER OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 2-17 IN MINNESOTA. STC EDUCATION WORKSHOPS, COMMUNITY EDUCATION CLASSES AND ACTING CONSERVATORY SERVES OVER 12,600 STUDENTS PER YEAR.
