MADELIA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION EXISTS TO BE STEWARDS OF DONATIONS GIVEN TO SUPPORT THE STATE-OF-THE-ART HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED BY MADELIA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL. THE FOUNDATION, SERVES AS THE BRIDGE BETWEEN MADELIA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, ITS PATIENTS, AREA FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS.

THE MADELIA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION CONTINUE ITS MISSION: THE FOUNDATION EXISTS TO BE STEWARD OF DONATIONS GIVEN TO SUPPORT THE STATE-OF-THE-ART HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED BY MADELIA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL & CLINIC. THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF DONORS AND SPONSORS, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE HOSPITAL AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES, PROMOTING AND IMPROVING HEALTH AND WELLNESS.THE FOUNDATION: FOUNDATION PROVIDED $187,000 TO FUND THE LAKE CRYSTAL PHARMACY. THE FOUNDATION NOW ADMINISTERS FOUR SCHOLARSHIPS ANNUALLY, EACH RENEWABLE FOR UP TO FOUR YEARS. SIX STUDENTS CURRENTLY BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM. THIS YEAR'S RECIPIENTS WERE MACKENZIE PETERSON OF MADELIA HIGH SCHOOL AND ELIZABETH NACHREINER OF LAKE CRYSTAL WELLCOME MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL (FOUNDATION HEALTHCARE SCHOLARSHIPS) ELIZABETH NACHREINER (YOSHIKO MASTERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP) AND MEGAN GOSSMAN (PAM MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP).THE FOUNDATION HOSTED TWO ANNUAL EVENTS (MAINTENANCE EVENTS):THE 15TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING AT THE MADELIA GOLF COURSE ATTRACTED 75 GOLFERS AND RAISED NEARLY $10,400 TO SUPPORT THE HOSPITAL & CLINIC. THE 5K RUN/WALK DREW RUNNERS AND WALKERS FROM SOUTHERN MINNESOTA HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH MADELIA'S PARK DAYS. ANDERSON RACE MANAGEMENT GENEROUSLY CONTRIBUTED THEIR TIME AND EXPERTISE TO HELP THE 5K RUN/WALK PROMOTE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE FOUNDATION. ALMOST 70 PARTICIPANTS OF VARIOUS AGES. $1,500 RAISED.FUNDRAISING: TOTAL DONATIONS TO THE FOUNDATION IN FISCAL 2020 WERE APPROXIMATELY $340,000, INCLUDING A SIZEABLE GIFT THAT ENDOWS A NURSING SCHOLARSHIP FUND. MAIL SOLICITATIONS RAISED APPROXIMATELY $66,500 (NON EVENT MAILING IN PLACE OF GALA EVERY OTHER YEAR, TREE OF REMEMBRANCE ANNUAL FUND LETTER AND YEAR END ASK)- THE FOUNDATION MADE A TOTAL TRANSFER OF $187,000 TO THE HOSPITAL & CLINIC IN FY 2020.
