To protect Indigenous Peoples, Cultures, Nature, Spirituality and Grandmother Earth through accurate interpretation.
Cultural Programing: The AIM-IC program served approximately 850 youth, elders, adults and community members through 2017 by attending the Gathering of Sacred Pipes Sundance, on the Red Road Pow Wow and the various exhibits hosted at AIM-IC.AIM-IC community education and social justice advocacy served approximately 250,000 people through radio, television, individual presentations, youtube, AIM Redbook, Facebook, Website, newspapers, online newspapers educating the public on AIM history and the harmful effects of Indigenous mascots and other racial imagery have on our community and American Indian youths. AIM-IC had approximately 75 people contact them with social justice concerns and AIM-IC provided direct referrals, advocacy and assistance for individuals who requested it.AIM-IC's Thunder Before the Storm Lodge received and provided historical information from approximately 850 visitors in 2017. The visitors were youth, students, community members, educators, researchers and the general public. Individual and group tours were offered to visitors and the Thunder Before the Storm Lodge held 5 exhibits in 2017.
