To advance Minnesota's Indigenous languages through intergenerational mentoring & immersion strategies in order to nurture a quality & culturally sensitive early childhood education.
Wicoie Nandagikendan Urban Immersion Project: WN had 3 children graduate from the Dakota classroom & 2 from the Ojibwe classroom in 2019. Our teachers participated in professional development courses as well as presenting at a National Education conference hosted in Minneapolis, MN. We also hired Jewell Arcoren as Managing Director in late 2019. In terms of governance we added several new committed board members to our board roster.
