AMERICAN CRAFT MAGAZINE - AMERICAN CRAFT IS A BI-MONTHLY MAGAZINE THAT CELEBRATES THE MODERN MAKERS WHO SHAPE THE WORLD AROUND US. PRESENTING UNKNOWN INNOVATORS AND ARTISTIC STALWARTS, AMERICAN CRAFT CONNECTS THE DISPARATE WORLDS OF ART, INDUSTRY, FASHION, ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN GIVING AN ENTIRELY NEW VOICE TO THE CRAFT COMMUNITY. AMERICAN CRAFT IS RECEIVED BY OVER 20,000 MEMBERS INCLUDING 3,000 SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES. IT IS ALSO AVAILABLE THROUGH GALLERIES AND NEWSSTANDS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.
LIBRARY & EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THE AMERICAN CRAFT COUNCIL LIBRARY MAINTAINS ONE OF THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE COLLECTIONS OF PRINT AND VISUAL MATERIALS ON AMERICAN STUDIO CRAFT IN THE COUNTRY. IN ADDITION TO 15,000 BOOKS, CATALOGUES, AND PERIODICALS, AS WELL AS 3,000 FILES ON INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS, THE LIBRARY IS ALSO THE REPOSITORY FOR ARCHIVES OF SIGNIFICANT CRAFT INSTITUTIONS. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OF THE COUNCIL PROMOTE APPRECIATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF CONTEMPORARY CRAFT AMONG ALL LEVELS OF INTEREST AND ABILITY. EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES ARE PRESENTED AT ALL ACC CRAFT SHOWS AND EXHIBITIONS, AND FEATURE DEMONSTRATIONS, LECTURES, AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS. REGULARLY PRESENTED PROGRAMS, SUCH AS THE LIBRARY SALON SERIES, INCLUDE VARIOUS TOPICS AND SPEAKERS.
