Organizations Filed Purposes: Provide teens with meaningful work, life and leadership skills through experience and training.

The Cookie Cart (the Organization) is a nonprofit community corporation that provides employment skills for youth in North Minneapolis and the East Side of Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Organization is the Twin Cities' leader in youth social enterprise, where hundreds of teens learn and build real world skills that prepare them for successful futures. The Organization combines paid work experience in a small business setting (the bakery) with auxiliary workshops to promote career and leadership development for youth.In 2020, Cookie Cart employed 192 youth across the Twin Cities metro with a total of 44,351 hours of employment training. Cookie Cart also accomplished the following program goals: 1) 83 youth completed Foundations training 2) 112 youth completed Leadership training 3) 114 youth completed Bright Future training 4) 115 youth completed Customer Service training 5) 112 youth completed Financial Literacy training 6) 37 youth achieved an industry skill certification 7) 26 Advanced Leadership Positions for Cookie Cart alumni and young adults.
