SUMMER CONCERT SERIES, COMMUNITY, AND CHILDREN'S CONCERTS: PERFORMED 8 CHAMBER CONCERTS IN MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. PAUL, FREE TO THE PUBLIC, FOR 4,113 MULTI-GENERATIONAL AUDIENCE MEMBERS. OUTREACH AND PROGRAMS FOR TALENTED YOUTH - SERVED AT TOTAL OF 63 YOUTH PARTICIPANTS (INCLUDING YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION; YOUNG COMPOSERS CONTEST; AND YOUTH OUTREACH WEEK PROVIDING YOUNG MUSICIANS THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AND PEFORM WITH PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS. 6 ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN THE MN SINFONIA NEW WORKS COMPETITION.MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS: SERVED 11,307 CHILDREN AT 20 SCHOOLS (19 ELEMENTARY AND 1 MIDDLE) WITH A CURRICULUM BASED LEARNING PROGRAM USING MUSIC TO TEACH CORE SUBJECTS THAT INCLUDED THE PERFORMANCE OF 36 IN-SCHOOL CONCERTS. THIS PROGRAM WAS PROVIDED FREE TO THE STUDENTS AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
