THE MBA ROUNDTABLE ANNUAL CURRICULAR INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM WAS HOSTED BY THE BROAD COLLEGE OF BUSINESS, MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY IN EAST LANSING, MICHIGAN AND TOOK PLACE NOVEMBER 7 - 8, 2019. THE MBA ROUNDTABLE SYMPOSIUM'S THEME, DECONSTRUCTING AND REBUILDING THE MBA FOR LIFELONG LEARNING, ATTRACTED OVER 125 PARTICIPANTS CONSISTING OF MEMBER SCHOOLS AND AFFILIATE SPONSORS.
THE MBA ROUNDTABLE SERVED IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY AND DELIVERED ONE PLENARY AND TWO BREAK OUT SESSIONS FOR THE ANNUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GRADUATE MANAGEMENT ADMISSION COUNCIL (GMAC) IN JANUARY 2019, ALONG WITH LEADING THE NEW ATTENDEE SESSION. THIS IS AN ONGOING PARTNERSHIP. TO EXPAND ITS REACH THE MBA ROUNDTABLE MAINTAINS PARTNERSHIP WITH GMAC, EXECUTIVE MBA COUNCIL, FORTE, PART-TIME MBA AFFILIATE GROUP, THE ASSOCIATION TO ADVANCE COLLEGIATE SCHOOLS OF BUSINESS, LEADERS OF EXPERIENTIAL PROJECT-BASED EDUCATION AND THE EUROPEAN FOUNDATION FOR MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT.FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ITS HISTORY, THE MBA ROUNDTABLE DELIVERED TWO SUCCESSFUL WORKSHOPS. DIRECTLY BEFORE THE 2019 GMAC LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, MBA ROUNDTABLE INTRODUCED A NEW WORKSHOP TITLED EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND THE ASSURANCE OF LEARNING CHALLENGE ON JANUARY 22ND. THE WORKSHOP WAS SOLD OUT WITH 36 REGISTERED ATTENDEES. DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE 2019 SYMPOSIUM AND DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, THE MBA ROUNDTABLE DELIVERED ITS WORKSHOP, BEST PRACTICES FOR CURRICULUM REVIEW AND DESIGN. THE WORKSHOP SOLD OUT WITH 45 REGISTRANTS.
THE MBA ROUNDTABLE INCREASED WEBINARS TO FIVE IN 2019. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MEMBER SCHOOLS AND AFFILIATE SPONSORS, TOPICS INCLUDED THE EVOLUTION OF THE GLOBAL EXPERIENCE, INCORPORATING DATA ANALYTICS INTO ANY ACCOUNTING COURSE, GOING DIGITAL - A CASE STUDY ON TRANSFORMING MBA COURSE MATERIALS FROM PRINT TO DIGITAL, ETHICS IN THE MBA CURRICULUM - MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER, AND DEVELOPMENTS DRIVING GRADUATE BUSINESS EDUCATION CURRICULUM CHANGE DURING 2018. WEBINARS PROVIDE THE MBA ROUNDTABLE WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND OUR REACH AND AWARENESS, AS WELL AS PROVIDE YEAR ROUND EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS FOR OUR MEMBERSHIP.
